Possibly, but they will never smell a playoff spot.

Marshall is still the second best college football team in West Virginia. I am happy for their success and what it means to the school and Tri-State, but they are still not quite ready for prime time.

Possible.

They finished 10th in both the AP and Coaches polls in 1999.

Rakeem Cato = Great QB!

There is no way they will finish in top 10 unfortunately. Too weak of a schedule. The only way that is possible if they won every game they played by like 70+ points!

I think Marshall's year will play out similar to the way it played out for the '04 Boise State team or even that Tulane team that Shaun King was the quarterback of.

Marshall is now ranked 18th in both polls.

If they had played WVU this year, it would be a good game but WVU would win.

If they played WVU's schedule, they would struggle to win 6 games and be bowl eligible.

Any team the runs the table is to be congratulated.

Look for their coach Doc Holliday to move up in the coaching ranks after this season.

The best they can hope for is to be the lone designate for the group of 5. And get a good bowl game. I don't see the committee giving them any respect at all.

No. I love the Herd. Still too undisciplined in certain parts of every game with a horrible schedule. Just horrible. Talented outfit ,who on any given Saturday, would beat anyone in the Big Ten. Couple teams in the Big the Herd would not beat regularly. In fact, there is 1 or 2 squads who could very easily squash them and hard on a given game day. But.... For a lot of reasons I rate the Herd behind both Colorado State and Boise.

Trying to watch a little of the WKU game. Early in 2nd quarter it looks more like a basketball game.

Terrible. Just terrible. So embarrassing. If you had a note on the Over you would like it. Marshall has played decent defense for the most part this year. But this? .. Undisciplined as any team I have ever seen. Cant watch Iowa and Neb either. That would be butt ugly too. Maybe a fu##ing soap opera is on.

Put them in the scrap heap. Give up 60 some? And act how they do? Lost a long-time fan today.
