That’s really not very strong. It doesn’t matter now, they are a regional contender

What was the Fed Hock/ Peebles final score?

FH won by 16.
Western beat Peebles by 25 and it was never a game. Not saying that means anything.

Yes, I watched the Peebles/Western game. It wasn’t a game. Western has some strong guards that can take care of the ball, and they like to play defense.
I’m not sure how big Fed Hock is. That might be a problem for them.

Crockwell averages about 20 a game and wasn't on the team at the time Fed played Peebles.

I92 ... Not that strong? I'd beg the differ. That's a pretty good schedule for a DIV team from the Hocking. Is it South Webster strong? No, but SW is also a 14-7 basketball team. Federal Hocking played Morgan and Marietta very early and they were a team replacing 5 starters from last year. Fairland was also before Christmas. Had they played the first two later in the year, the Lancers are a (19-2) team with the lone losses coming to Fairland and a 1 point loss to Trimble.

... based on FH before Crockwell and FH after the addition of Crockwell - it's night and day on the court ... Crockwell frees up everyone to play their roles ... he is the engine that makes this "upgraded" version of the the Lancers go ... he makes everyone so much better ... with the ball in his hands everyone else can find their spots - he has made Airhart a MAJOR threat from the perimeter, not that he wasn't before but NOW he can literally spot up ANYWHERE beyond the arc and drain 3's - Crockwell can/will find him... the bigs inside don't have to create off the dribble for themselves - Crockwell distributes the ball so well, gets penetration and because he can finish at the rim he draws defenders in, which leaves the bigs both Rogers and Smith in positions to scores at the rim ... does it mean they win this game? nope Western is one of the best TEAMS I have seen this season - no one is outstanding but they play such good TEAM ball both offensively and defensively- they will be in the game ... I think the FH ability to handle pressure makes this tough on Western, FH has Crockwell AND Cottrill who was THE GUY before Crockwell ... FH has 2 guys who can handle/distribute the rock both can handle pressure on the perimeter and make the opposing team pay ... Western has to be able to get out in transition - push the tempo ... FH can play that game ... can't wait to read the in game updates and final rundown from this one ...

Morgan- 9-14 2 wins against winless crooksville... also started out 1-5 with their lone win FH.
Marietts 6-16 They won by 15 and only allowed 37 points??
Fairland is the only case you can make as a truly good non conference game... the others are pretty suspect.

Westerns competition is not good either other than a few tough league opponents.. but beating ripley peebles PV Piketon and so on all by A LOT looks pretty good. However i still think FH beats Western.

Crockwell averages 20 a game? Maybe he does but how many games has he played. There have been games mixed in where he scores like 7? I am not here to say he makes them a regional team yet.

12/10 Valley 60 Webster 54
12/14 Waverly 62 SW 34
1/8 West 60 SW 45 (SW shot 18% that night)
1/18 Burg 60 SW 48 Clark back for Burg
1/25 Waverly 67 SW 46 Roberts gets hurt
1/28 Minford 54 Webster 34 (without Roberts)
2/9 Chesapeake 57 Webster 52 one of the worst officiated games in the history of basketball. Roberts 2nd game back.

I’d like to see any other D4 team besides Valley not get blown out in all of these games I listed

So they played D2 teams….17 D2 teams in SE district and they played #15 and #16, Morgan wasn’t good. Fairland good but lost like 80 something to 30 something….not sure what that did for them. I will agree those teams are always good schedules for D4 FH but they weren’t good teams this season. South Webster’s schedule was way more difficult and it’s not close…..doesn’t mean FH wouldn’t win but that’s not a strong schedule.

Yeah…I read it. Several D4 teams shouldn’t be getting blown out against West and Burg

Clark played about 1 minute for Burg in that 1/18 contest. Jeeps just got their doors blown off that night. A little rally at the end made look closer than what it was.
