Some memorable teams on that list. Sparta Highland in '98 had JT Hoyng who was a stud...had "in the gym" range. Think they won State that year if I recall correctly. '89 Burg got beat by North College Hill in the State Semis. '91 Unioto got beat in State Finals (remember because they beat Webster on a buzzer-beater in the District Semis). 2011 Portsmouth should have won State, but had an off-game in State Finals. Shows the kind of teams and history Chesapeake has had over the years.*

The Portsmouth team I watched dominate their State semi game that year was victim of slow-pace in Finals. Game was close (around 5 points) until end of 3rd quarter/start of 4th quarter when Portsmouth went like 6 minutes without scoring.

OHSAA website shows Sparta Highland won State in ‘98 with a 80-61 win in Finals over Cincinnati Indian Hill. I should remember better because I was there.*

portsmouth got neat because like the rest in southeastern, you all cant compete at this level when you leave your WEAK district, from looking at the website , Portsmouth was the last team to actualy WIN a game at state lmao how many years that been?
