Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Greene pitch 2 inning gave up 7 runs last night not a very good outing for Mr Flame thrower ???
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
His plan for last night was to throw predominantly fastballs. Regular season games he will mix more offspeed in the game. Trying to get things figured out and all settled in! Had 4 K's as well
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Akiyama will not be on the opening day roster. Great move to let him go. He’s been a major disappointment.

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
With the opener approaching it will be good to have some of the sights and sounds of summer return. As you age, maintaining a connection to your youth through the traditions of baseball becomes more important than your team winning pennants. The Reds have assembled a curious mix of prospective young talent and journeyman. It will be interesting to see how the season progresses. There is always hope for the Reds in early April despite their shortcomings in ownership.

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
The announcement isn't official yet, but (as most expected) it looks like Nick Lodolo will make the 40 man roster and be named the 5th starter, making his debut next Wednesday at home vs the Guardians
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Max Schrock who has had a stellar Pre-Season performance, is now joining the others on the IL to start the season after being announced he will miss 4-6 weeks to start. That hurts as he's so versatile in the field.
On some positive notes, we have some guys absolutely crushing it this spring! If he can remain healthy, Nick Senzel is slashing .379/.455/1.041 with 11 hits, 5 runs, 1 homer and 8 RBI's. If he can keep this production rolling, I'll be one happy fella! lol
Votto is picking right back up where he left off, Stephenson is doing his thing and Moose appears to look solid starting out! We really need him to stay healthy as well. My optimism is coming back more and more each day!

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
India's been hitting the weights, or eating good. He looks to be a bit bulkier than last year. GO REDS!
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Learning a few things in the weight room from his dad I'm sure! India will be a force this year for opponents to deal with!TRENCHFOOT wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 7:25 pm India's been hitting the weights, or eating good. He looks to be a bit bulkier than last year. GO REDS!
Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Opening Night for the Redlegs!! Let's see if we can silence the Atlanta crowd on their first game back as defending champs. Facing lefty Max Fried tonight so if I had to guess, I can see our lineup looking something like this tonight:
India 2B
Pham LF
Votto 1B
Stephenson C
Moose 3B
Senzel CF
Aquino RF
Naquin DH
Farmer SS
Normally vs a LHP I believe we'll see Solano in the DH role over Naquin but with him starting this season on the IL, Naquin will get the nod. Go Reds!!

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
Interesting to see Aquino hitting 2nd and Drury getting the opening day nod at 3rd. I’ve been critical of the Reds this offseason. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for tonight. First of 162 games, thinking…wait, hoping…wait praying maybe the Reds will be better than many, myself included think they will this season. Honestly just glad baseball is back!
