Best offensive player you have saw in person
Best offensive player you have saw play in high school. Either watched, coached, or played with. But in your opinion BEST player on O that you saw.
We all have seen some great ones, but is there one that sits above all the rest?

Old guy bias would say Chuck Ealey of Portsmouth Notre Dame 1965-67. His career at Toledo then the Canadian Football League speaks for it self.

Not counting Joe Burrow since he’s probably the best in Ohio for a very long time. Nate Davis was fun to watch. Great game at Ohio university vs Ironton

Have saw some highlights of Burrow.
In the SVC, SE's Ruby was about as good as it gets.
What about offensive lineman?

Who did he play for?
Do you have a specific game or memory?
Re: Best offensive player you have saw in person
Best I have watched was Braxton miller in a playoff game that guy was just on another level.

There's a lot of different players over the years, I remember a RB Portsmouth had Akia Brown kid was UNREAL. Here recently the QB for Western Brown Drew Novak was extremely impressive and curious to see how that young mans career turns out. LB another recent player but really one of the most complete guys I've seen at the position R. Carrico.

Played for Kenton. Seen him in State Championship game against Portsmouth West in 02. That year he had over 1300 yards rushing and 6000 passing. He was the all-time passing leader in the Nation until his younger brother Matty passed him up.MadeInRossCounty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 9:47 pmWho did he play for?

Ben Mauk. The only thing that stood in front of Portsmouth Wests chance at winning the championship in 2002. All time leading passer in Ohio at the time until his brother passed him a few years a later. Jojo Parker was unbelievable. Trevon Pendleton was also a blast to watch his highlight reel.

Unioto had tight end Ben Hartsock. Played for OSU and in the NFL. I've never saw him at the U but I know he was lighting people up.

Seen: Carlos Snow Cape. 85 playoffs against Minford.
Played with or against: Eric Froe was a beast. And Bud Thacker from Piketon was the fastest

Re: Best offensive player you have saw in person
Your stats are off there he never had 1300 rushing and never had a season with 6000. He did win back to back state titles, but stat wise you are thinking of matty his younger brother. He is the best player I’ve ever seen. His junior year he had close to 6k passing. He will never be topped for me. Ben had better defense when he playedBigBlueNation wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 8:50 amPlayed for Kenton. Seen him in State Championship game against Portsmouth West in 02.
