Re: OHSAA NIL Referendum
The OHSAA is about one thing and one thing only: Money. The decisions they make is either about generating money or not paying money and this is another of those decisions. With the NCAA already allowing this, they realize they must now conform as well, unless they want to deal with lawsuits. And lawsuits and litigation need attorneys and attorneys cost money. The OHSAA is simply making a decision on how not to lose the money we all know they work so, so hard to get...

Re: OHSAA NIL Referendum
This will get used in recruiting by schools. This is a terrible idea.
Championship's are won in the off-season

Re: OHSAA NIL Referendum
This runs right along the same lines as transgender sports. Two idiotic ideas period
Re: OHSAA NIL Referendum
It is coming but not a good idea. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. Sad day for high school athletics
Re: OHSAA NIL Referendum
This is not a good idea recruiting is already rampant this will just make it worse. Only way it will work is if you transfer in high school then you’re not allowed to do nil.

Re: OHSAA NIL Referendum
This is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of! We are talking about minors signed NIL contracts! We are not talking about college age student/athletes (18-23). Does this mean the parents will have to sign the NIL contract for their minor student?
It is just unbelievable how poor of leaders are running the OHSAA. But leadership at the OHSAA is at an all-time low.
I have to believe this will get voted down! I can’t believe there are that many poor leaders running schools across Ohio to pass this referendum item.
