Re: Miguel Cabrera Achieves 3,000 Hits
Looking at the career hit lists for active MLB players, only Robinson Cano is within 400 hits of 3,000 and his age of 39 might be an obstacle. Next would be Yadier Molina with 2,116 and Votto at 2,035 . Neither has a shot due to age. Is there any player that might reach the 3,000 hit plateau in the next ten years?

Looking at age and statistics, I don't think there's very many currently who will make it close enough. My personal opinion, the two who would be closest is Mike Trout or Manny Machado. That is if they can stay healthy and keep a similar progress or maybe a breakout year in their later years. Altuve and Freeman have a chance, but not quite sure they'll get there.Omega wrote: Mon Apr 25, 2022 5:42 pm Looking at the career hit lists for active MLB players, only Robinson Cano is within 400 hits of 3,000 and his age of 39 might be an obstacle. Another couple options if you wanna go younger players, my top picks are Vlad Jr, Juan Soto, or Ozzie Albies

Good insights BigGuy. As to the "young guys", I am showing my age. I had to use Google to learn who they were. I can remember the lineup for the 61' Reds but few if any of the current stars of the last 10 years.BigGuy10 wrote: Tue Apr 26, 2022 9:18 amLooking at age and statistics, I don't think there's very many currently who will make it close enough.
