Price in 2018 was fired as mentioned above. Not like he had a stacked team. Peraza, Hamilton, Schebler, Duvall, Barnhart, Casali, Ervin, Blandino, 1-14 Homer Bailey and no starter under a 4.30 era doesn’t exactly scream major league quality. He should’ve been fired at least 2 years sooner than he was. I understand it isn’t Bell’s fault what we put on the field. But why fire Price after that start and not Bell? Bell had talent the last 2 years and couldn’t get it done then, he sure won’t be getting it done with this team. Maybe they should keep him around for the completion of the next rebuild in 2025. Currently the Reds sit 2-8 and own the worst record in the league. Next 9 games are against SD & STL. I wouldn’t expect more than 3 wins max. So if the Reds are sitting at 5-14 or worse do they fire David Bell? I doubt it but something to think about. A few of those games against LA were hard to watch. Lodolo will start tonight at SD.

What decent manager is going to work for a franchise who doesn't want to win. They know going in they won't have a shot. I'm not a fan of Bells but I'm this case, if he's willing to stick it out....PTrojan59 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 1:36 pmPrice in 2018 was fired as mentioned above. Not like he had a stacked team. I agree, really no sense in making the move at this time. Not like anyone they’d promote within is going to do the job Bell couldn’t. I didn’t like the hire of Bell, haven’t been a fan of his management thus far, but I honestly don’t see him going anywhere this year or maybe even next. Just thought it was interesting that Price was fired with a very similar start to the season.Orange and Brown wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 2:52 pmWhat decent manager is going to work for a franchise who doesn't want to win. Reds ended their 11 game losing streak today by beating the Cardinals 4-1. Pitching was really good today. Lodolo with a nice outing, and the bullpen was really good. Sims with the save. Pitchers struck out 10 Cardinals combined. Votto continued his horrific season at the plate though.

I was at the game yesterday absolutely burning up but got to see a W! Does this mean I have to go to all home games now?
We actually played well yesterday. Got like 8-9 hits I believe and was on top throughout the whole game. Like mentioned above, Lodolo looked solid and bullpen got things done. Hopefully can take this and the off day to get something going on our next road trip coming up

Reds To Allow Fan Protests Against Ownership At Games
From Yahoo:
In March, they protested outside the stadium.
In early April, they funded a billboard.
This past weekend, unhappy Cincinnati Reds fans brought their message into Great American Ball Park, wearing T-shirts, holding signs, dropping grocery bags over their heads and even flying a banner over the stadium calling for owner Bob Castellini to sell the team.
In at least three cases, the Reds gave fans a choice: drop your signage or leave the stadium.
On Monday, the team stood down.
"This was a mistake on our part," said Tim O'Connell, vice president of facilities and operations. "We have taken corrective action.

Re: 2022 Cincinnati Reds
There is always hope. Tonight, my grandson's 10u team was within one run of being mercy ruled, trailing 9-0 after 3 innings. They came back to win 13-12, so it can happen.

Reds lost to the Padres tonight, shocker I know. Aquino may be the worst professional baseball player I’ve ever seen.
