Columbus Clippers (Cleveland) 8 Louisville Bats (Reds) 4

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

The Bats(7-15) took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Cristian Santana single marking his 7th RBI on the season.
Columbus (15-7) woke up in the home half of the fifth where they score five big runs. Getting things started was a 3 run bomb from Oscar Gonzalez (6) this season. David Fry (4) blasted a two-run bomb to give the home team the 5-1 lead. The Clippers were back at it again in the home half of the seventh when Mitchell Tolman (5) doubled in two making this a 7-1 game. It became an 8-1 game when Fry plated another run on a sac fly. The Bats tried to make a game of it but the rally fell short after three runs in the ninth. Lorenzo Cedrola drove in one and Alejo Lopez drove in two.
