Re: D3 Tournament Thread
If Westfall can beat Belpre and keep Weiss under 75 pitches, that matchup with Zane Trace could be mighty interesting.
Neither Weiss nor Nichols pitched in their two previous meetings. So, I would expect a tight and low-scoring game if that’s the matchup.
Piketon also has to like their draw. I know it was early in the year, but their #4 shutout Wellston.
Adena’s draw is less than ideal. Likely having to go to Meigs to face Stewart is not what you want as the 10 seed.

Portsmouth will have to get by Fairland who beat them twice but it’s always tough to beat someone 3 times.

7 seed Meigs will host 10 seed adena at Marauders Stadium. Meigs will more than likely have D1 commit Ethan Stewart on the bump
The right handed junior has been untouchable all season. Pitching 51.2 innings with a 6-0 starting record and 2 saves. He has thrown 125 k's to only 4 walks and only allowed a total of 18 hits, with an era of 0.406 and whip 0.426

4 walks is hilarious. Like, you get down and it’s not like you can be patient, because that dude is pounding the strike zone all game long.
Stewart gave up 6 hits, all singles, to Adena tonight, but struck out 12 and threw 79.3% strikes
Oh, and he hit a bomb too.

2 summers ago Prep Baseball Report said his max fastball velo was 89mph but i’d say he’s gotten faster since thenIronman92 wrote: Thu May 19, 2022 9:56 pmHow hard does he throw?Tvcfanatic wrote: Thu May 19, 2022 7:48 am 7 seed Meigs will host 10 seed adena at Marauders Stadium. He is very good. Definitely a PITCHER and not just a thrower. He has tremendous control. Places pitches where he wants. Puts a lot of hitters away with the fastball at the letters. It’s too close to take and very difficult to hit. It will take a very disciplined hitting team and probably an umpire that won’t call a high strike to have a chance to beat him.danicalifornia wrote: Thu May 19, 2022 10:25 pm 4 walks is hilarious. Yes you are exactly right, you best believe where ever his catcher has his glove is where the pitch will end up at because he has unbelievable controlRosscoresident wrote: Fri May 20, 2022 11:16 amHe is very good.
