Was this an academic decision as well? They have a pharmacy program, is he wanting to follow his dads foot steps?
Re: Ironton - Ty Perkins makes College Commitment
Solid…would be impressive to do both at same time, especially the last 2 years of footballtransplant wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:41 pm Was this an academic decision as well? They have a pharmacy program, is he wanting to follow his dads foot steps?

I was thinking that too. Would be tough, but just seemed like he was really wanting that one and was just curious.

Tough? Do you remember Ohio State QB Craig Krenzels major while being the guy for a p5 ranked team? He won a natty too. My guess is if thats what he wants he will do it.Ironman92 wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:54 pmSolid…would be impressive to do both at same time, especially the last 2 years of footballtransplant wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:41 pm Was this an academic decision as well? It’s incredibly impressive to make it through a pharmacy program….it’s incredibly impressive to play football at UK….both are basically full time jobs. Pharmacy is intense, especially years 4 and 5. Many of those kids study 25-30 hours a week….add in the football requirements. I couldn’t be more impressed if he accomplished that. I’m very very impressed with either or.Chilly_D_Castro wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 8:52 pmTough? Do you remember Ohio State QB Craig Krenzels major while being the guy for a p5 ranked team? Yeah, but most of his teammates really didn’t even have classes or majors. Most P5 non-QB’s are elite athletes not elite minds.Chilly_D_Castro wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 8:52 pmTough? Also false. Several earned degrees and made their way into relevant professions. Some are pharmacists, business men, etc etc etc.Ironman92 wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 10:25 pmYeah, but most of his teammates really didn’t even have classes or majors. No one said it was impossible. Just tough and wondered if it was an academic decision too. That’s all. Leave it at that. Congrats Ty. Wish him well.

Looks like after Ty’s commitment to Cincinnati he just received an offer from the Wildcats from the University of Kentucky.
