Re: Minford Football 2022
I'll bite...who will Minford have at QB this year? Not that it should matter much when they just gotta get the handoff to Pica about 25x/game! As for the team, I got the Falcons battling it out with Waverly and Valley for 3rd place in SOC II.*

Re: Minford Football 2022
I think the conference out come will have a lot to do with QB play. Minford will need to find a QB and a few receivers. Sophomores and Juniors will need step it up and be major contributors due to the lack of Seniors.

What does Minford have coming back for the QB position?? I know they've got a nice kid coming up who's going to be a freshman with a nice arm and athletic it'll be interesting to see if they give him a look or not.MapleParkSwimClub wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 10:57 am I think the conference out come will have a lot to do with QB play. Re: Minford Football 2022
I'm sure Minford has as well. Kids who are in track and field and baseball can't lift a lot throughout the spring.
The first Monday after school is out is traditionally the start of Summer weight room and all of the kids are expected to be there during those hours.
Championship's are won in the off-season

No clue what's going on with the program. Who can fill me in? Good numbers in the weight room? Number of kids in each class?

Re: Minford Football 2022
Makes sense. He’s a great athlete who wouldn’t be asked to do too much in their offense with Pica in the backfield.Tigernation2021 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 12:26 amMy guess is they go with the freshman Caudill at QB.
Minford will be decent next year, and then have a 2 year window to really compete with their current sophomore class getting better each year. Don’t know if they can beat Burg or West those years, but they’ll be able to play with them for sure.*

Long year, if they go with freshman.Tigernation2021 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 12:26 amMy guess is they go with the freshman Caudill at QB.

Re: Minford Football 2022
Why? Minford is going to be relying on Pica to carry the load and they're only going as far as his legs take them. Seems to be the easiest way to break in a young QB. Waverly is going to have to do it with a sophomore QB and they'll be relying on the running game as well to help him along.
Re: Minford Football 2022
It’s going to be hard on pica to do that. If he’s that kid, he’s going to have to play defense.Tigernation2021 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 11:04 amWhy? Re: Minford Football 2022
Mumford looked ok at the Gallia 7 on 7. Have no idea who the QB was. They through a lot of picks against Vinton county. A ton of tipped balls though. Against Gallia they I thought looked a little better.
