Warren 62 Belpre 0 2022

Post by beg003 »

I think most already know how this one will go, but what is Belpre’s situation as of right now? Was told they have around 30 players but that may have changed.

This should be like a practice game for Warren. Should be able to see what the boy's on the bench has.

So does Belpre have enough kids to field a team? Don’t ask Bell as he is awol ( yes again)

Belpre clearly has a leadership problem. The talent/interest is down as well. Warren should have their way with Belpre.

Not only is he awol but also only has a couple of assistants who are clueless.

Superintendent and Big M brought him thinking he would help pass a levy but it backfired. In fact people voted against it because of him. Never met someone who calls himself a Christian yet curses worse than a drunken sailor (an that’s not be degatory to sailors).

Sad and embarrassing to the school, community and the game

To add insult to injury, two of Warren’s coaches were standouts at Belpre. Joe Edgell was a first team All-Ohio LB and Jason Gandee was only the second sophomore to start at QB under Ralph Holder, the other being his son. They lost that year to the state runner up in the playoffs by 6.

Situation at Belpre is pathetic. Not sure what year you are referring to when they lost to state runner-up.1984 they lost to Louisville St.Thomas Aquinas in Reg. final 40-21.Louisville went on to win State Championship.

Football planning is zero….kids will miss out including the band and players. Bell can only handle his own bs and has been unable to impress kids or parents….no one is buying what he is selling.

But he played D1, so that's enough, right?

If Warren gets past Belpre they at least won't go 0-10. Belpre won't go 0-10 simply because they play in the TVC Hocking.

We have a ways to go. Typical first scrimmage things combined with a slightly different offensive system. Nothing to be overly concerned about just yet. One positive thing, our freshman class is going to be a very good one.

I really feel bad for the Belpre kids. This series needs put on hold until Belpre can build back their program. This isn't fair for the kids, and it's not doing any good for Warren to play this game.

Watched the second half on my phone (MOV2GO live-streamed it). Coach Bell should be fired immediately. I’ve never seen a team so unprepared. The kids deserve a lot of credit for staying out there and playing hard most of the time but their technique is nonexistent, because they clearly haven’t been coached at all. Their schemes on both sides of the ball didn’t even make any sense and looked like backyard football. Every day he is the head coach, the school is doing a greater and greater disservice to these kids. I knew it was bad but actually watching them it was so much worse than I thought it would be.

I would be shocked if they finished the season, quite frankly I would be surprised if the made it to the end of September.
