Re: Region 23 D6
I can elaborate on EK and northmor.
Both lost quite a bit to graduation.
NM lost all but one kid off their lines and only have a couple of seniors. But one of those is their 6'2 225 beast of an rb Max Lower.
EK - all of their staff but one (who is now HC) bailed after 5 successful seasons. (not coaching anywhere else)
Lost 2 of their all time better players in lester and knepp. Bring back rb (delaugher) and a good wr (Steinmetz)

What does West Jefferson return because last year every player that contributed was a Sr?

Re: Region 23 D6
WJ did graduate a lot of seniors ( 24 I think ) but I watched them scrimmage at Chilly last week and they have reloaded fairly well. As good as last season? No, but the QB can sling it and at least 2 very good WR's. They are still a major player in R23.

I think West Jefferson is usually solid year in and year out.
That’s why I put them on the list. Same with Trimble.

Re: Region 23 D6
Since 1958 West Jefferson has had 6 losing seasons. WJ will have to find their way early on but by week 11 they should be a decent team. Losing the 24 seniors and having to replace 15+ starters is a challenge but it’s also a opportunity for the players on this years team to prove themselves. Many of the 24 seniors last year were one year starters, they stuck with it, paid their dues and took advantage of the playing time opportunity once it presented itself. WJ doesn’t get or encourage transfers, kids are developed.
Will WJ be as good as last year? Right now, absolutely not. Give them 10 games of experience, highs/lows and adversity to go through and we will see where they are come the playoffs.
Last year WJ wr MJ Book was a tough cover: 6’4”, 190 lbs and ran a 4.6. Guess the idea was throw it to him until they stop it. Book is now at Marian University in Indiana. He has a younger brother ar WJ that I believe will be a sophomore this year.

I love my Warriors and wish them all the success in the world. I venture to say 4-6 will be a great season for them this year. 2-8 or 3-7 is likely.

Tho I believe we must have watched different games... vs JG Trail had one long TD run and that was about it offensively.

Re: Region 23 D6
BT more athletic this year? Not sure about that. Rome, Smith, Snodgrass, all athletic skill guys with some size. This years skill players are athletic, but not much in size, the QB Neuhart and the FB Perry are both tall so they do have that going. also, lets not to mention the offensive line being essentially all new starters. The starting center was back, however he broke his leg and is out till mid season at best. Only other returner is Hensley, who played tackle last year and is moving to guard. He has a big heart and plays hard, however he's very undersized. So essential zero returning O line usually doesn't bode well for success.EasternDspy wrote: Fri Aug 19, 2022 3:34 pmI actually wasn’t there but was told it was about even and that Trail was more athletic this year.Thereddragin wrote: Fri Aug 19, 2022 3:13 pmI hope you are right and I am wrong...

as for the game being even, I guess that's a matter of opinion, to me it clearly looked like John Glenn was the better team, and it wasn't close. I may be wrong, but once it went 1st and 10, BT didn't pick up a fist down, if they did it was only one.
