Tri-Valley 14 - 13 Jackson 2022
The Ironmen look to rebound this week as they travel to take on the Scotties in a big match up for region 11. Thoughts ?

TV will play tough but they are young and inexperienced compared to the last couple years, Jackson by 2-3 Td’s.
Re: Wk. 3 Jackson @ Tri Valley
Hope this game is streaming somewhere. Tri-Valley is a tough place to go to and win a ball game. Has to be a long drive for the Jackson faithful, but they will still have those small visitor stands packed.

The non-conference schedule is hopefully really going to pay off for Jackson come playoff time, look for Jackson to win this one by 14-21.
Re: Wk. 3 Jackson @ Tri Valley
Jackson has another tough team as usual. Not sure how Tri Valley is this year but they are usually tough , I would be surprised to see either team by 21 or more. Should be a great game winner by 7 .

I think Jackson learned a lot in the game last week. We should see some other players getting an opportunity to showcase what they can do. Jackson by 14+

I'll take the Ironmen, 42-30. Hoping they pull this one out on the road. Good luck men!

Looking forward to this game. Not so much the drive to Dresden but this should be a good game.

Re: Wk. 3 Jackson @ Tri Valley
Game time is 7:30 pm.
From what I can tell the game is not being streamed. I did a google search and none of the Zanesville area radio stations are carrying the game.
For those taking the route with the straightest roads (Jackson to Lancaster, SR 37 to Granville, SR 16 to Dresden, SR 60 into Dresden and SR 208 to the HS and field), I would either eat at Texas Road House in Newark (1200 W Church street) or the Warehouse in Dresden (18 east 9th street).
If you are going through Zanesville, I would stop at Tom's Ice Cream (532 McIntire Ave) and taste the ice cream ranked #1 in America multiple times. You can eat there or another stop in Zanesville. Zanesville has most of the food franchises you can think of. My recommendation would be get some ice cream or a shake at Tom's and then head to Bill's bbq between Zanesville and Dresden on SR 60 (5945 Frazeysburg Rd, Nashport). One warning, I70 in Zanesville has major construction and it backs up traffic on other routes.

Re: Wk. 3 Jackson @ Tri Valley
Tri-Valley lost in the D3 championship game in 2017. TV had some teams from 2007-2017 that made some good playoff runs. Joe Burrow and company ended a couple of those runs.
It has been a long time since Tri-Valley has had so many players who have little varsity experience in key positions. Week 1 they were overwhelmed by DeSales 28-0. Week 2 Licking Heights was probably better than Tri-Valley, but TV got an early lead, played field position ball, played smart and outlasted them 27-21.
TV is certainly not at the level of Burg, Ironton, or Western Brown this year, but way better than Logan imo. The offense is a short pass or run spread. Defense is a bend and try not to break group. A Jackson win by two or three scores is a likely outcome. TV has a football tradition now and they kids are not going to quit no matter the score. There was no quit against DeSales.
TV will finish the season in the 8-2 to 6-4 range and make the playoffs (with 16 teams a winning record normally puts you in). Not looking like the MVL big schools are particularly dominant this year so the Scotties have a realistic chance of a league championship if they continue to improve.
No matter how this game turns out, it is the type of game the Scotties need to make the team better.
Safe travels Jackson fans.
