Logan might have had four. Plus, full ride to Notre Dame and Wisconsin.

I'd say few and far.Ironman92 wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 7:00 pmYeah but 1 or 2 out of 100 to get a full ride football scholarship to Ohio State….one of the elite football schools in the United States. At Jackson it’s like 1 players out of maybe 1500 career football athletes. Similar at most schools I can think of.THEEE_GAME wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 5:33 pmJust a little less than 2%Ironmen34 wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 5:13 pm
I was trying to be conservative but I wouldn’t be surprised if that number is lower
https://scholarshipstats.com/varsityodd ... %20schools.
I’m assuming the very vast majority of kids that went on to D1 would’ve committed to playing at OSU given the invite.
Talking all D1’s that skews it a great bit.
Has their been 20 SE district athletes in the last 100 years get a full ride football scholarship at Ohio State?

Heard Ryan Day on 97.1 the fan yesterday. He was asked about Reid and said ' he's working hard and growing. If he keeps it up he will be on the field soon.'

I was hoping maybe he would see some 2nd half snaps vs arkansas st in the blowout but no dice.gobucs20 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 11:20 pm Heard Ryan Day on 97.1 the fan yesterday. He was asked about Reid and said ' he's working hard and growing. If he keeps it up he will be on the field soon.'
I noticed another true freshman on defense got some playing time however.
Caden Curry. True freshman. DE outta Indianapolis I do believe. Had a really good play late on sp teams coverage and a cpl good plays late on defense.

I was at the game and ohio state does very little subbing on defense

He did play. I saw him a few times on special teams. No linebacker though.

Looks like he has been adding more muscle. A noticeable difference since last year. Cade stover Is getting jacked up himself too. Didn’t realize how big he was until seeing him live.Beergogglebluez wrote: Sun Sep 18, 2022 8:58 amHe did play. I saw him a few times on special teams. No linebacker though.

He’ s gotta be itching & reasy to hit. HE has so much talent just idling..
Re: Carrico lost in the sauce in Columbus?
I heard he has been battling a high ankle sprain and that’s what has been keeping him off the field as a LB
Re: Carrico lost in the sauce in Columbus?
Carrico was a div 5 ball player. He was very good div 5, buy not an OHIO STATE talent.

Hamstring as well. He will get there. He’s just a red shirt freshman with 3 more years left. I’d love to be in his position.Bfan99 wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 5:13 am I heard he has been battling a high ankle sprain and that’s what has been keeping him off the field as a LB

Those strength coaches are top notch. Look at chase young’s pictures during high school and Ohio state it’s insane the size he put on.LetsBeReal wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 2:33 amLooks like he has been adding more muscle. Possibly but he’s doing something prob 99% of us keyboard critics have not done. I’d love to play 1 snap in a Ohio state uniform even if it’s special teams. He will get a engineering degree from Ohio state which is very cool. But it’s crazy that how good he was here he’s not playing. It shows you how good these kids are Ohio state gets.callie15 wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 7:53 am Carrico was a div 5 ball player. He was very good div 5, buy not an OHIO STATE talent.

It's like that at all the big time programs and let's not forget when you talk about how good those kids are. There's another group ready to come in next year and some of them will be just that darn good it's just the cycle that these large programs get. Free education, experience of a lifetime, hell yeah the kid is very lucky such a small % make it to the point of where he's at.Beergogglebluez wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 9:04 amPossibly but he’s doing something prob 99% of us keyboard critics have not done. Just did, he was lifting before to you can tell. He put on MASS. Cade stover looked similar. Wish more programs at the high school level could get the kids to buy into lifting. Instead of being a summer activityBeergogglebluez wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 9:00 amThose strength coaches are top notch.
