Philo has really disappointed so far. They wreck a bleak Athens team which was expected then play tight and lose to Carrollton (no knock), but then lose to Morgan, then Riverview by two touchdowns. Do they have some injuries? Morgan is better this year but I thought Philo would get that one, and Riverview? Come on. Philo looked pretty physical with a good run game coming in. I thought this would be a good year for them but they are giving away games to crossover teams they shouldn't. I'm really not feeling West M though. Other than staying within striking distance of New Lex they haven't shown they can beat a legit team even though they are 3-1. The past records don't mean as much. I mean Meadowbrook has blown through the MVL small for four years and they were 0-0 vs Crooksville for a half. You have years where the cubbard is bare for a minute sometimes. I'm going to give Philo one more chance. Ill take the electrics by +10.

I admittedly have 0 insight on the situation there. I would be curious what people are seeing out of Philo and West M so far.

MVL addition of Meadowbrook and others has only been two years (this is start of third), but it sure felt like Meadowbrook has been beating up on MVL small division teams for longer. Meadowbrook is back to the pack in football. Will be in other sports also over the next couple years.

I don't get Philo either. A lot of seniors and I thought they were upper level of large school division.

West M is for real. One of their best two skill players is hurt and playing sparingly. They have great skill players all over the field. Linemen play hard but they just don't have a whole lot of linemen compared to most other MVL schools.

I think this is a very very good game. Likely the closest game in the MVL in week 5. I am going with West M to pull out the win.

Nobody is hurt. Just playing two senior quarterbacks that are about equal. Neither can get into any type of rhythm. Throw in the fact that they don’t come out ready to play with any since of urgency. Being turnover prone and throw in untimely penalties(face mask on a first half ending touchdown play), all adds up for a recipe for disaster!
