This will be the game I will be attending next Friday. Should be a dandy.

Linsly QB is Atley Cowan. His dad Andrew played QB for Marshall and backed up NFL QB's Chad Pennington and Byron Leftwich. Andrew is in the MOV hall of fame. His Grandpa Tom was a principal and coach for 28 years at Ritchie County WV and is also a member of the MOV hall of fame. Looking forward to seeing this young man play. He can sling it.

They have a great passing game. Linsly offensive line is average at best. This could be a shootout.McChicken wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 11:29 pm Linsly QB is Atley Cowan. Could be Fort’s toughest test to date. Linsly always has athletes and a very good QB this year.

Don't know anything about Linsly. Ft. Frye is rolling though so I think they will pull out a win.

100%, You don’t schedule Mooney, St C, Fort, Steubenville, and Dover in consecutive weeks unless you expect to compete. Talk about a gauntlet!

That's good that Fort Frye is playing them because if they have final 4 aspirations They will likely face the likes of Kirtland and and Marion local who in most years would lay a whooping on them

They played Kirtland in final 4 a few years back. They had I within 1 score with the ball starting the 4th. Fort Frye wouldn’t back down. If Fort wins the region it would most likely be Kirtland again. Kirtland scored a Td with a min to go and Won 35-18 but game was closer than the score.gobucs20 wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:09 pm That's good that Fort Frye is playing them because if they have final 4 aspirations They will likely face the likes of Kirtland and and Marion local who in most years would lay a whooping on them

Im taking Fort in this but it will be a good game ! I think Forts defense will be the difference . Fort scheduling is great this year wow
Re: Wk 6: Linsly (3-1) @ Fort Frye (5-0)
Kirtland is great - better than Fort Frye and just about everyone else in Ohio. But . . .gobucs20 wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:09 pm That's good that Fort Frye is playing them because if they have final 4 aspirations They will likely face the likes of Kirtland and and Marion local who in most years would lay a whooping on them
1. Playing Steubenville and Massilon Jackson won't magically make Fort Frye start sprouting Division I prospects.
2. The last time Fort Frye played Kirtland, it was pretty exciting for a bit. Not a whooping
