It's been a very long season for both schools. Truth be told they both are probably looking forward to rolling that round ball out on the Gym floor.

How is Meigs pass defense? And how is Athens' run defense?

I think Athens has played really well the last two weeks.

Considering their youth and inexperience, their kids played extremely hard. They had excellent game plans. And they made it difficult for both VC and Logan.

Athens really had good offensive plans out of both halves - scoring on their first drives both times. Each time Logan did a great job of adjusting but credit Athens for forcing the adjustments.

Defensively it was similar - Logan scored on their opening drive but it wasn't easy and Athens forced them to switch up some blocking assignments.

VC was able to move the ball but only scored 21 points b/c Athens made them work for it.



If Athens can play with the same attitude, I like their chances on Friday.

We're just a little down on talent right now but our players play hard. When they listen, have fun with it, and do what the coaches tell them we have pretty good games and score a lot of points. With the right pieces in place our offense is pretty much unstoppable. So it depends on whether they listen this week or not if we score a bunch or not. I think we have a good chance though because the players seem to have figured all the above out.

I cant wait to see what new offensive wrinkles we have for this week. I see what D1 is saying. If the kids we have made into monsters will just do what they are coached to do there is no reason we cant beat Athens on our way to the playoffs.

I don't think itll be easy but i think meigs walks away with the win, the kids really would do anything to keep athens from getting their first win against them

Long season for both teams so far. If Meigs has improved and Athens has gotten worse since weeks one and two, I see a close game. Otherwise Athens wins this one. IMO Athens young talent was better than Meigs starters.

Both common opponents Athens was at least two touchdowns closer.

I don't think the record means anything about which team is more talented.

Should be a good game.
