This game could be closer than it should be. Schematically Minford is an absolute mess, play calling is predictable, wide outs are only running routes on one side of the field to the outside, the athletic TE is never split out wide and used in that capacity, the 6"4 WR is never targeted even with single coverage and the safeties in the box, there are no passes designed to be thrown from the pocket, minimal motion, no empty sets to take advantage of the QB's athleticism, same stuff we've seen throughout this regime on offense, tough to watch.

You are apparently watching different minford games than me sir. I agree that it’s became predictable, but the TE has been split out and I’ve seen plenty of motion. Caudill stood in the pocket plenty friday but couldn’t get it on the seam to shoemaker. Why would they run empty when they can barely block with a tight end and running back, newsflash people are blitzing the hell out of them they can’t exactly go empty. Minford have west everything they wanted and if a few less of those terrible penalties go wests way and minford could cover kicks, west is looking at 4 straight losses to the falcons. Minford 49-0

Oak Hill seems to always play Minford tough. But they just don't have the numbers this year and Pica should be ready to go off this week. I'll say Minford wins 42-12.*
