Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
Need a live stream link for my step son. Does Warren stream their games?
Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
BMG asked to stream but was told no by Warren. They said they have a stream but I haven’t seen any.The County Resident wrote: Fri Sep 30, 2022 6:16 pm Need a live stream link for my step son. Does Warren stream their games?

Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
VC might be getting some bad flashbacks. Williams to the house from about 70. 7-7.
Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
Warren up 20-7 now. Long TD to Pepper and Williams takes a screen to the end zone from about 75-80.
Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
Vinton's Qb out with what looks like a serious knee injury with about 2 minutes left in 1st half.
Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
Sloppy second half from both teams but Warren wins 20-13. Williams is evidently Vinton’s kryptonite. Defense was also the best its been all year. Thoughts for the QB who hurt his leg, I hate to see that happen to a good player.

Re: Warren 20 - 13 Vinton County 2022
So, on the surface, this game looked like a big mismatch. After many saying that this would be a competitive game, I decided to make the short journey to Barlow to take it in myself. First opportunity to see either team this year, and my first visit to Warren's field in 20 years. The new turf and track are top notch, the facility is great! Parking was close, and free! Perfect football weather, and nice crowds for both sides. First, prayers for the injured VC QB, hope the injury is not severe and he bounces back quickly. To the game, while the score didn't become a "big ugly" as I stated it potentially could be last week, well, the execution from both teams had a lot to be desired. I don't know how many penalties got called, but it was way too many on both squads, for the seventh week of the season. Things got a little chippy in the second half, and unfortunately, one warrior got disqualified for his extra-curricular activities (right in front of the ref, no less).
I have to agree with Matt Ash, Warren isn't that bad (but not in the same class as Fort Frye or Point Pleasant this year). They are young, but they have good speed and even though currently undersized, they will hit you. VC had a definite size advantage, and the way the game started out, it just looked like that size was going to steamroll the Warriors and wear them down. After a couple of series, I could see that Warren's speed was really going to give VC some problems, and their pass coverage, especially on slants, was suspect. VC has some nice players, but could not match Warren's speed at the skill player position. Neither team could get much momentum going for them, which kept the game close.
Glad I went, I really enjoyed the game and the Homecoming atmosphere. The Warrior Alumni band sounded great! Really have to give a big shout out to the Viking band and their halftime show, I really enjoyed it, from a musical selection standpoint, their old school marching (yes, they actually march instead of just barely pick up their feet), and the overall show. Fantastic job on Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song, I loved it (not an easy piece to play!). And kudos to the percussion section on that song, they really made it work!
Congratulations to both squads on a hard played game, and thanks for an enjoyable evening!

Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
That prediction just shows a lack of knowledge about our kids and taking the games in context. Fort Frye, Williamstown, and Point are all flat out better than us. Vinton is more on our level and the results speak for themselves. I understand what you’re saying though.

I am not listening to VC fans ever again! I will try to draw honest analysis from their opponents fans from here on out. Tired of the smoke - LMAO

Didn’t someone at the beginning of the year say VC was the best team on Warrens schedule lol
Re: WK7 Warren - Vinton County
I admit it, I was wrong in picking VC. I should have listened to a few of the Warren faithful.
Re: Warren 20 - 13 Vinton County 2022
You remember correctly, that was said. No reasonable fan from either side took it seriously.EasternDspy wrote: Fri Sep 30, 2022 11:56 pm Didn’t someone at the beginning of the year say VC was the best team on Warrens schedule lol

Very good win for Warren. Vinton County was not as good as I thought they were, but Warren has some playmakers. The Pepper kid will be a really really good player (he already is good). And Williams being available is obviously a game changer for them. Looks like they could be improving. Happy to be proven incorrect on this matchup.
