I’m gonna go against the grain here and say wellston gets its first win of the season! This team has faced adversity all season with coaching and injuries! Remember this team had Alexander on the ropes with a chance to win in the 4th quarter

Young has a great arm and when he has time to throw, he can be very accurate. Athens also has DB’s that will matchup well with the small receiving core of Wellston.

Wellston was run heavy against NY last week and why not. Their offensive line is not horrible but NY keeps a fresh rotation of solid DL. Athens has a young DL and Wellston will get second level consistently all night. Wellston wins time of possession but it will not be enough to get the W.

Wellston fails to slow down Young’s arm or his legs and eventually Athens wears down Wellstons RBs.
