Curious what it would take to impress you. Yes it was a foundation scrimmage but it was also 41-0 when they put the JV in mid-second quarter. Teams are vanilla in those and it was played 30 yard line and in but Waterford was bad that night. I’m sure they’ve improved since, most teams do. Fort is definitely the significant favorite as they should be and if they dominate up front as expected they will cruise. Caldwell does have the playmakers if they can get the ball in space to make them earn it.

Downtown Owen Brown has been so good this season. Kid is definitely a 1st team all state player.

Might take this game in now that I live in Beverly, any recommendations on where to park or is there plenty at the fairgrounds?

If declaring Fort Frye the champion of conferences that don't exist offends you, I really don't know what to tell you. Enjoy a long walk? Deep breaths?
Is Caldwell's offense on par with Bellaire?
Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye (6-1) @ Caldwell (7-0)
I believe the tvc actually exists. Don't know if you're responding to me or the other poster, but noone here at ff cares if we would win the tvc.efarns wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:04 pmI'm not on Yappi.Ff3233 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 3:35 pmToo many ff fans on here hold a grudge against the tvc because they didn't vote us in. No way Caldwell has the athletes Bellaire does. I do think Caldwell will stop the run better than Bellaire did
Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye (6-1) @ Caldwell (7-0)
They haven’t seen it in several years. Very few teams will beat Fort Frye the first time they see that offense. Point is a good team and it was a bloodletting last Friday. Fort Frye will do whatever they want, whenever they want. Teams that do better than normal against Fort Frye have either seen the offense on a regular basis or can match up man for man with their front 7. Caldwell is neither one of those.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:29 pm

I don't believe it does. I believe you can pay someone a few dollars and get "We beat The TVC" on a trophy, and more people will remember that than whoever won any conference championship in any year. But that's just one man's opinion.Ff3233 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:18 pmI believe the tvc actually exists. I think both of you are a little too serious. Your post contained most of the discussion, so I used that.
Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye (6-1) @ Caldwell (7-0)
Sarcasm in the written word isn't always easy to see. In no way was I offended by you declaring us champions. I believe that was the poster I replied to that was irritated. There are ff posters on here constantly bringing up our not being voted into the tvc, hence my response of me being happy we weren't. The other poster also brought up yappi, so I'm still thinking you're confused on who you should be responding to.efarns wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:41 pmI don't believe it does. Caldwell has played coach Huck and the Wing T many times I think they are one of the teams that could have a nice game plan. I mean Coach Rucker has never coached Vs it but he played against it 4 times.
Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye (6-1) @ Caldwell (7-0)
Excited for this match up! Makes me remember the wild game in Beverly in 2015! Coach Ruckers senior season! Great ball game but the crowd was top notch! Hope for the same only this year at the fairgrounds! This is the ball game I’ll be attending. Give me the Cadets but it’ll be closer than most think!

Fort Frye won that on a half back pass Casey Lewis to Garrett Lochary.OVAC2319 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:50 am Excited for this match up! Makes me remember the wild game in Beverly in 2015! Caldwell ran direct snap to Clark like 40 times.

I think FF is special. We’ll see if Caldwell is in that category.
