Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye (6-1) @ Caldwell (7-0)
Caldwell had a good game plan. They just had not played 4 Qts all year and got wore out. Caldwell scored on a blown coverage on first drive but didn’t do much after that.

Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye (6-1) @ Caldwell (7-0)
Fort scores before halftime to tie it up. Caldwell recovers the onside to start the second half and has it inside the 15 and throws a bad pick that gets returned nearly for a score. Once Fort took the lead everything snowballed on Caldwell. Snap out of the end zone, a fumble and some bad penalties. Fort made a great adjustment to get some big pass plays and the WR #11 made some unbelievable catches. Fort is as advertised and I left the fairgrounds thinking Caldwell is going to be a problem for region 27 as well.

Agree with this.
Braxton Brown had a heck of a game on both sides of the ball. He shut Dudley down. He had 2 Ints one got called back. He’s a first team all state cb in my opinion. He now has 6 on the season.

Hats off to Caldwell for giving fort a game till half , I think river and Caldwell would be a great game but it’s looking like Caldwell will get the fourth seed would love to see the redskins knock off newark but that’s going to be a uphill battle good luck on the rest of the seasonredskinwitness wrote: Fort scores before halftime to tie it up. As much as I would like that outcome for River’s sake. If Caldwell were to match up with NC they might put 30 on them in the first quarter. They’re as advertised.Buckeye2021 wrote: Sat Oct 08, 2022 9:23 amHats off to Caldwell for giving fort a game till half , I think river and Caldwell would be a great game but it’s looking like Caldwell will get the fourth seed would love to see the redskins knock off newark but that’s going to be a uphill battle good luck on the rest of the seasonredskinwitness wrote: Fort scores before halftime to tie it up. Agreed unfortunately, river has a pretty easy path to the regional final but then they will be in the same boat , hope I’m wrongOvGuy wrote: Sat Oct 08, 2022 9:52 amAs much as I would like that outcome for River’s sake. Re: Wk 8: Fort Frye 44 @ Caldwell 7 Final
Newark Catholic is not even as good as last year. Watch highlights of them vs Lakewood (0-8) and they didn’t impress me only won 42-25. Newark Catholic isn’t even better than Fort Frye. Caldwell has a great run defense. They just stacked the box and Fort was able to get Braxton the ball 1 on 1 on the outside which opened up other stuff. Caldwell not playing 4 Qts all season hurt them. They weren’t ready for it and Fort Frye made great adjustments.
