Hey let’s just take on the top dog right off the bat. They’ve got one of the best RBs in the state going to be tough but that’s why you play it.

Tigers will be the HUGE underdog with absolutely no pressure. Just go down there, strap em up and play the best you can…. You never know.

Waverly has struggled to stop the run all year, and now they take on CJ Hester a tall task for any team. If Waverly can somehow contain him, just enough they might have a shot, but their offense has to prove it can score against a stout defense. Rooting for Waverly to pull off the upset as they can play loose and carefree but Wyoming simply too much.

Wyoming has given up 28 points all year and has 7 Shutouts. Waverly has a really tough draw for round one.

Wyoming hasn’t lost a regular season game since week 4 of the 2015 season. Wyoming has made the State Semifinals 7 times (1975, 1977, 1998, 2009, 2018, 2019, 2020) with one state runner up in 1975 and 2 state Championships in 1977 and 2018.

They also have two undefeated and unscored on seasons in 1941 (8-0, outscored their opponents 182-0) and 1962 (10-0, outscored their opponents 446-0). This’ll be the 28th time they’ve made the playoffs in school history.

Tough draw, however all I've herd around Waverly is how we are going to get killed. Same as when we play Burg, it is all we here. Hard to compete when everyone already telling you how bad your going to loose. Waverly needs better play calling than last week as it was bad. Maybe up tempo and try and outscore them. Get the ball to our play makers and pull out every trick play and try everything that has ever worked. Leave it all on the field and give it your all. I for one am proud of all the boys and there play this season, lets go out and shock them all.
GO GET THEM BOYS!!!

Hoping Waverly can escape healthy. Any big basketball players on the team?

#2WR Kelley is lone starter back from final four team last year. He is a great basketball player and a senior and I agree, I hope gets out healthy.

#1-2-6-9 for sure should be playing I think during the summer Brock #54 played. I don’t think either of the Hurds will play they might they were there a few times during summer so we’ll see.

It is a very tough draw but nothing is impossible and I hope the boys realize that. There were several major upsets last season during the playoffs there’s no reason not to let it fly and let the chips fall where they fall.

A very tall task to say the least. Good luck to the Tigers in their first round matchup against Wyoming.

Rumor has it #1, #4, #9 are not playing.
No 6 is 100% a Jv kid no way he plays varsity basketball.

Well if there are multiple kids who are not playing, then who knows who could be on Varsity. If some of the kids don’t come out then there will be a lot of minutes to be handed out among whoever decides to show up and work. I wouldn’t rule anyone out as for as minutes go, at least until football ends and practices begins for everyone.

But back to football. Anyone know if this game is in fact a 7:00 kickoff? Didn’t know if it would get pushed back to 7:30 with the drive time and being a school day.

1 and 9 played during the summer, now doesn’t change the fact they could change their minds. #4 is big into baseball so I’ll doubt he plays. 6 has started at varsity all season he played some varsity during summer as well so I wouldn’t write anyone off especially a freshman you have no idea about.
