But the guy knows they are sophomores, their team is still playing, and they start on that team, but doesn't know their names or where they are from??

I’ve heard the piketon one coming back, but that’s all I’ve heard as of now. Sure they will be happy to have him back.allaboutsports wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:57 amyea pretty reliable one. Interesting that’s a lot of speculation especially coming this soon after the season being finished up for Waverly. Might have to reach out to some people see if anyone else has heard this. Those don’t like move ins, no idea why if it makes the team better. Keep in mind we already have that on the team now, we’ve got guys from Portsmouth West, Circleville/Chillicothe area and Jackson all of which started all season.

I will say this for you, a lot of times your sources on spot on. You mentioned 1 and 9 not playing basketball before anything was out and as of right now hearing they’re not playing but 9 is considering it.allaboutsports wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 8:19 am Anyone know where the 3 offensive lineman are from that are moving in. Re: Waverly Tiger Football 2022
Tigers should be better in 2023 with 1 year under the belt of Junior to-be Signal Caller Mason Kelly, a stable of backs lead by Jase Hurd, 3 returning starters on the line, a couple nice WR's and TE's and some move ins who could make an impact right away.
Will the Tiger DEFENSE be much improved and not rely on the offense to score 30+ points each game to win?

Re: Waverly Tiger Football 2022
Tigers return a lot of talent on both sides of the ball and I look for Mason to take a big step forward this upcoming season. Defensively we've got to replace 2-DE's and that isn't ideal given we were giving up close to 300 a game rushing last season. The secondary returns everyone, we do miss Hudson but he was in and out on the defensive side of the ball. Key for the defense is going to be can we make enough changes up front to slow/stop the run that's the key to how successful the defense will be. If we can't stop the run then yes the offense will need to score 30 a game but at the same time it can't make a mistake as teams can grind on us. Should be interesting a long ways to go between now and the, and who's going to step up on the line and fill the voids left behind will be another huge key so the running game can keep grinding away. I don't believe teams will be able to stack the box like last year as the season went on, should be much more balanced and see bigger chunk plays offensively.smurray wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 8:13 pm Tigers should be better in 2023 with 1 year under the belt of Junior to-be Signal Caller Mason Kelly, a stable of backs lead by Jase Hurd, 3 returning starters on the line, a couple nice WR's and TE's and some move ins who could make an impact right away.

Re: Waverly Tiger Football 2022
Yeah can't really judge anything off of how our JV was, varsity consisted of a freshman starting on defense, believe another 2-4 were sophomores that either started or seen playing time on defense. Then offense consisted of multiple sophomores starting or rotating in on that side of the ball. Couple that with the injuries that hit and the JV team was quite small and actually had someone playing QB that was sort of just tossed in there and hadn't played QB since pee-wee.
