No I’m not asking for Much at all just stating the truth. If they can play defense like they did for 3 quarters in the last game, which looked pretty good, and the line can open some holes for the backs, and Coal Grove can have some long sustained drives and run clock, and get in the end zone it can be a good gameWatertown wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 1:13 pmNot asking for much are you? Yeah if Fort Frye doesn’t run, pass or tackle all night then it will be a good game. If they play like they have all season it will be over by mid third quarter at the latest.Team ovc wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 1:09 pmIf Coal Grove plays defense like they did for 3 quarters against West Jefferson and can move the ball and control the clock I believe it will be a good game.efarns wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 11:55 am
Coal Grove will be one of top 5 teams Fort Frye has played. I don't think Fort Frye will be up by 40 or 50 at halftime - like other playoff games so far.
Fort Frye is, at worst, the second-best team Coal Grove will have played, and they've lost 4. We're going to have the game, and it starts at 0-0. If The Hornets win, it will not make me mad, but it will flat-out amaze every high school football fan who isn't a Coal Grove Hornet.
Good luck.
Round 3- #5. Coal Grove (8-4) Vs # 1. Fort Frye (11-1)

Comparing stopping a (4-6) West Jefferson passing team to a (9-1) Fort Frye wing T are to total different things.Team ovc wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 4:06 pmNo I’m not asking for Much at all just stating the truth. Also West Jefferson freshman Qb threw for 323 yards and 5 Tds last week.
Re: Round 3- #5. Coal Grove (8-4) Vs # 1. Fort Frye (11-1)
Ok. Yes. If they can defend the #1 seed at the same level they defended the #12 seed . . . for 3 quarters. I mean, they defended #12 pretty well for 3/4 of the game, so suggesting they might get in over their heads against the #1 seed is probably just ridiculous. People who have seen Fort Frye are probably just messing with you.Team ovc wrote: Thu Nov 10, 2022 4:06 pmNo I’m not asking for Much at all just stating the truth. Coal Grove played last game not to lose.
And it about cost them.
They need to get the mind set get a lead and build on it.
Unreal how many offside kicks they failed on.
They allowed that team to get back in the game

Fort Frye has been mentioned as comparable to Big Red, and understandably due to how they faired against Linley. Fort Frye is the pick.
