So what you are saying is Fort could beat Ironton by 35. Your words not mine.
Round 3- #5. Coal Grove (8-4) Vs # 1. Fort Frye (11-1)

LMAO! Portsmouth West fans thought the same thing until Ironton hit em in the mouth. This Ironton team is way too physical and skilled for FF. Best be worried about the Hornets and Hall tonight.

Grove fans are hiding behind Ironton now. I guess they don't think they have much of a shot.

Yea I don’t think the Hornets are even going to make the trip to Lancaster today. According to all the Fort Frye people the games already wonefarns wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 11:54 am Grove fans are hiding behind Ironton now. I guess they don't think they have much of a shot.

People are looking at scores from the games these teams have played this season. For some reason, you think that is not an indicator of what might happen in this game. This will definitely be Fort Frye's most competitive playoff game so far. But, a 30 point halftime lead would be the most competitive game Fort Frye has had so far.Team ovc wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 11:57 amYea I don’t think the Hornets are even going to make the trip to Lancaster today. Coal Grove could be competitive for a quarter, maybe two, but Fort Frye’s offense is a nightmare for those who haven’t seen it live. You have to be able to spread the field to some degree to beat them, and CG can’t do that. The Hall kid is going to get his, but it won’t be easy for him. FF- 56 CG- 21

I think he was saying Fort by 35 tonight. It’s a popular meme and a joke.
Best be worried about the Hornets and Hall tonight.
1:
Hall is an amazing BACK & if any “Go Big Grove” Faithful have any info at any scholarship looks/offers Hall is getting, please share. HE IS A BEAST & i easily see him getting a good ‘ship’…
If CG has some quickness to the ball on D, & it emerges at all -V- FF, they will get a challenge.
CG Just needs to take care of the ball, spread the field with some designed plays on Offense & keep pushing & they could be innit!
2:
FF would NOT want to line up across from IronTon come 2nd Qrtr.
IronTon would need a series, maybe Two, to control an unknown successful program such as FF!
Once that occurs @ mid Q1-early Q2
ALL IHS!!!
Im just talking D too.
Itonton’s mix of receivers had PortsMouth West Twisted Sideways b4 they realized what IronTon was capable of & that hadn’t happened to West all season except for the fluke in the loss at game 1 -v- FairLand.
Ironton is being very deceptive, STILL, Offensively, that they can unravel -V- a scouting program, & cause some contusion & Haste.
Just my opinion, but I see coach P slowly scratching at it.
Good luck to both squads. Injury free to continue on and rep the S.E.
Good job Grove repping the OVC!!!
It is a huge task, but would love to see CG give FF a game!!!

Re: Round 3- #5. Coal Grove (8-4) Vs # 1. Fort Frye (11-1)
Ironton would probably beat FF, but it would be much more competitive than you might imagine. Linsly is comparable offensively to Ironton, especially at WR and QB. Ironton’s size and depth would wear them down, but Fort Frye would score. They would’ve been one of the best two teams Ironton saw in the regular season, if not the best. I’m not a Fort Frye guy in any way, but they’re hard to handle.Tjhtygeverve wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 4:45 pmAGREED, in several ways!frankie wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 11:16 amLMAO! Re: Round 3- #5. Coal Grove (8-4) Vs # 1. Fort Frye (11-1)
Since the Grove is suppose.to lose 100-0 tonight I say the Grove goes against their tendencies and keep FF guessing. Put Hall in the slot and throw quick slants. Tonight if the Grove throws the ball 3 seconds and the balls out. As for defense, make FF throw. All I am hearing about is the running game then throw 9 to 10 in the box and make them throw. Grove is lowest seed remaining in the region, as i see it they are playing with house money. I go out there and go against what they think. Now don't get me wrong, Hall is getting his 30 touches but I move him around and keep the defense guessing as to where will he be. As for Grove defense alot of shifting, blitzing and stacking the box. If your going to lose at least make it hard on the other team.

Like I said, Coal Grove is suddenly hiding behind Ironton for some reason.Tjhtygeverve wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 4:45 pmAGREED, in several ways!frankie wrote: Sat Nov 12, 2022 11:16 amLMAO! Would love to see the Tigers schedule Fort Frye or Pikeville, KY in the future since they want to play better teams and say they will play anyone. Would be awesome to see especially Pikeville.
