What does this mean? New Boston Glenwood has nothing to do with this thread.
Tiny school a bit east of New Boston who also came out of nowhere to be the most hyped up team a few years back…and then eventually made it to state.

Convincing argument. One player in the history of SW coming to school on his own free will vs whatever’s going on in ironton and New Boston.

So the players coming to Ironton and New Boston are being forced to go there? No, they come on their own free will too. Nobody is kidnapping these kids or paying them or their parents. Kids want to leave bad situations and go to good situations. Imagine being stuck at a school where the administration just doesn't care about you and/or the athletic program. How happy would you be if you were stuck in a terrible situation. Maybe you went to the Board with legitimate concerns about academics and coaches and was ignored. Would you stay?

Every kid should have the freedom to choose where they go to school. Especially if they are paying to go to a private school. School choice should be an individual right.

And let's be real. What school can you think of right now that has no open enrollment or transfer students? Maybe SW is in that situation, I don't know but I think that 99% of schools have their share of open enrollment or transfer kids.

If school administrators would take care of their own back yard, kids wouldn't want to leave. That's why Burg, South Webster, Valley and some other high performing schools thrive. Same with the catholic schools and other private schools in our area. Their administrators care and work hard to improve the situations of every kid at their schools.

Struggling schools should start by improving their academic situations first, and then start thinking about athletics who they hire and how they promote their programs.

St Jude has a great recent history. Catholic schools expect a lot more than these rag tag public schools do. Can easily see a deep tourney run from the men of St Jude.

SJ will be solid in their conference I would say. SJ picked up 2 kids from Coal Grove and one from South Point, all 3 could be solid players in their program.

Hornettroll84, it is a shame you are so salty about your guys transferring to St. Joe. ISJ will be just fine this season.
