These 2 teams played here back in the late 90’s when both were a member of the D-4 region 16. Ironton won. But this doesn’t seem fair that this year the state semifinal spot was picked a day before these games were played. This years Ironton vs Germantown Valley View should be played in Chillicothe Ohio. Chillicothe is 90 miles from Germantown and 73 from Ironton. Princeton High School in Cincinnati is 31 miles from Germantown and 138 from Ironton. That’s just doesn’t seem right.Kirtland80 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:00 pm Ironton will play germantown valley view at Princeton high school in Cincinnati

I agree. I’m big on halfway for both. Even for us where we get to play in canton when we make it there. I’m a firm believer that the state finals should be back in ColumbusBuckeyeBond wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:07 pmThese 2 teams played here back in the late 90’s when both were a member of the D-4 region 16. I completely agree. I know Kirkland has played South Range a few times in the playoffs. I’m thinking the D-5 title game this year will be Ironton vs South Range. What are your thoughts?Kirtland80 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:15 pmI agree. I’m big on halfway for both. Even for us where we get to play in canton when we make it there. Sharonville would be a pretty fur piece for Ironton fans, 280 mile round trip. With gas prices so high,
Chillicothe would be more fair

Well, Who Wouldn't Love Them Fighting Tigers?!

If ironton plays like they have been, I’d take them over the 3 teams left. South range qb is a stud but Ironton is going to be hard to beat. I been rooting them on and I’m sticking with them. Best of luckBuckeyeBond wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:21 pmI completely agree. I know Kirkland has played South Range a few times in the playoffs. Once again a Southeastern team getting screwed on travel time. The OH$AA knows that Ironton, like Burg will bring the whole town wherever it’s played.
The only bad thing is local people would probably travel to Chillicothe to watch this game but probably not Cincinnati.
Just like Nelsonville for Burg-HP was given to Nelsonville to take care of someone there by the OH$AA same can probably be said for Princeton in that they were guaranteed a game.
The good ol’ boy club strikes again.

Don’t blame them, the home grown talent is being developed too. Those kids are strong and well coached.

Last week you said burg fans wouldn't "and they didn't ' travel to nelsonville ,and now you say they will travel anywhere? I'm confused.
Ironton didn't come close to filling Waverly and I'm thinking their seating isn't over 3 ?

This Ironton team very much resembles the 2017 Wheelersburg team. Great defense, balanced offense, great receiver/QB combo, and lots of team speed. This team is a D5 juggernaut with a legit shot at bringing another state title to southeastern ohio.
