In mid season I would have said yes , not sure if they peaked early lost focus or injuries caught up but seems like they are turning the ball over and untimely penalties have plagued them better have there a game against kirtland and that may not be enough

No. For example, The Ohio Bobcats are way better.

Re: Kirtland vs Fort Frye
I really hope I’m wrong. I followed the Cadets program since they played my team “Lucasville Valley” in the playoffs in 2012. Although Valley won that game Fort Frye has built a monster ever since. It’s been awesome to see because southern Ohio doesn’t receive much love. Like I said I truly hope I’m wrong, but seeing the way Fort played against Bellaire and Coal Grove these past couple weeks I don’t see how it’s not a Kirtland/ Marion Local state final.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 12:45 amMaybe but maybe not.BuckeyeBond wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 12:33 am This will be a running clock in the 3rd quarter. Kirtland BIG.
Most people on here said Cadets would get blown out in 2018 Vs Kirtland. They lost 35–18 but Cadets had the ball down 7 in the fourth. They played very well that night.

As an OVAC Fan , a local Fan I’m clearly for FF , it’s going to be a huge obstacle to overcome , one that would clearly be the greatest win in school history .

Re: Kirtland vs Fort Frye
Think both teams being running teams clock might go off quickly might be hard for them to put a running clock on the Cadets. I said this on another thread next time Fort Frye gets running clocked will be the first time they get running clocked. They only have 1 double digit loss since 2017 and that was the 35-18 point loss to Kirtland. Last time they were weren’t competitive was 2016 loss to Newark Catholic 41-7 in Elite 8. I believe that was before running clock was implemented.BuckeyeBond wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 11:52 amI really hope I’m wrong. Either way it’s been a great run. Cadets have played in 5 regional finals in 6 years and made 3 final 4s.

The next man up is 3 years younger and hundreds of reps behind the guy he is replacing, but . . . great speech. Really. I will go watch your movie.

Don’t have to tell us how good Kirtland is they are awesome. Wasn’t Tiger Leverde fastest coach to 200 wins?Kirtland80 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 1:19 pm11-12 season 15-0 won state final vs coldwater 28-7Bunker Hill wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 9:32 am Someone post Kirtlands record and State ending season results the past ten years

Too darn bad, but it makes for a good excuse.
Cute reply on the best team in the 74-0, too.

Re: Kirtland vs Fort Frye
Kirtland wins easy. Game will be over by 845. No passes and a running clock time will fly.

But seriously, I know you're right. The best teams on all levels know it doesn't matter who is actually on the field. They usually just draw their starting lineups out of a hat.
Re: Kirtland vs Fort Frye
I'm a Fort Frye fan, but at full strength, I'd still put money on Kirtland and 24 points. I don't need "excuses" for anything.

Re: Kirtland vs Fort Frye
Hope Fort Frye makes it competitive makes things interesting down the stretch. A 1-2 score game going into the fourth and anything can happen. Unfortunately, I think that everybody in this Division is probably playing second fiddle to Marion Local, who’s only allowed 10 points since week 6 and has 10 shutouts on the season going into the state semifinals.

Only 2 local teams get to play a game after Thanksgiving and Fort Frye is one of them.
