Anyone going to make it a whole day of watching football on Friday? Seeing tickets for Cincinnati vs Tulane as low as 46 dollars for a noon kickoff. UC is playing Tulane for the conference championship.

I think it would have been a great game but I think Burg would have beat them.

I think the 2017 Burg team and the 1989 Ironton team were two of the strongest teams to come out of this area.

Both had stout defenses and I would give a slight edge to Burg on offense just because they had a better mix on the pass and run.

I was just curious , I didn’t think they beat Coldwater or Kirtland that year. Kirtland is a different animal.

It sure seems like the OH$AA didn't try to equal out the drive time for the teams this year.

Looks like Mansfield would have been halfway for both. Now maybe Mansfield didn't want to host, but not sure why you wouldn't. Especially after what they said Waverly charged to park. That's easy money right there.
Mansfield usually hosts every year, this year they’re host

I don’t really agree with this, but…

2014 Athens Bulldogs was the best team ever from southern Ohio. Sorry to go off topic. GO 🐅

IMO the Kirtland teams Ironton faced would have destroyed the Burg, too.

The 2017 burg team would of played with kirtland both years. They were outstanding against the run. Like the best I’ve ever seen at burg.

Saying they would of destroyed them is way far fetched

TBD I guess right now but It’s not a stretch. Ironton can pass very well. I don’t think burg matched up with one passing team in their state run. So hard to tell. I think before we can compare, Ironton has to win it all first.

Two more wins is all that matters. Doubt we will hang a “CalPreps Projection” banner.

Zero. Was mentioned earlier that there was no Kirtland this year and I couldn’t recall if Wheelersburg had to play Kirtland when then won it. I know Coldwater was tough for a while.

since the battle in Jackson. Ironton has done nothing but roll. after that game against Jackson. it seems Itown was and still is full of confidence.

IMO. the only team beating Ironton. is Ironton.

Playing their best ball at the best time. They got better as the season progressed. Great effort by staff and great commitment by the kids. Ironton has a buncha WORKERS!!!
