Heck of a game. Early on I would have leaned South Point, but after their stumble against Peake I can't go against Fairland here.

Haven't seen Fairland yet (will see them Friday at Portsmouth), but South Point is a very good team. They have size upfront, good guard play, and depth. The Trojans lost at SP 73-55 last Friday.

OVC will have some Wars this season and this should be hard fought on both sides.

Fairland loses big , this is not the same Fairland teams of the past , theyre down. The OVC is wide open this year

I wouldn’t say Fairland is “down,” they’re just not completely loaded like years past. They have an excellent coach and plenty of athletes, they’ll figure it out.

For whatever reason South Point has just had Fairlands number the last few years. I knew they could win, but this margin is surprising. It makes the random home loss to Chesapeake even more of a head scratcher.

Fairland graduated a fantastic scorer and overall player, who played a major role for the Dragons. Probably not as easy to replace as some thought, but with Coach Speed plus nice talent, they’ll be fine.
