Offense should look a lot different as they will be back to a pass-first offense. Not sure who going to replace Glover/Lattimore at running back, but the receivers should be solid, and offensive line will be pretty good as well. They gotta keep Rucker as clean as possible in pass protection as he not carrying much weight. His accuracy is pretty good though and the arm-strength will come as he develops physically.*

No doubt...Maxie did a solid job filling in for Salyers after he got injured in West game. Figure him in the starting defensive lineup next year as well.*scott1297 wrote: Thu Dec 08, 2022 3:36 pmAnd #28 Maxieart_vandelay wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 10:44 pm Burg should be loaded on defense next year with returning players like Hutchinson, Darling, Salyers, Risner, Swords, Warren and Mowery. 7-3 or 8-2 most likely. Losses to Ironton and Harvest Preps. The 2 question marks would be McNicholas and Jackson, Jackson lost a lot to graduation and unless someone comes in the QB position will be a HUGE question mark for them next season.Sonny Weaver wrote: Tue Dec 13, 2022 9:49 am 8/18/2023 A Ironton

Vass before transfers 229-75 burg 5-1, Pendleton and transfers 211-84 6-2 ironton
Re: Wheelersburg 2023
They did, lost quite a bit of talent but they return a lot on the line. Other question mark you have to put to Ironton is who ends up transferring in, believe we've seen 3-5 new starting players each year so this early it's really hard to say with them.fbnut wrote: Tue Dec 13, 2022 11:56 amDidn’t ironton lose just as much as Jackson to graduation?greygoose wrote: Tue Dec 13, 2022 10:53 am7-3 or 8-2 most likely. Probably will have the edge on McNicholas as its a home game.
Jackson is always a close game.
8-2 seems best case scenario for sure.

Hope not. If he was going anywhere I figured it'd be Ironton, coaches have already contacted him & Mom works in Ashland. Would make more sense.
Re: Wheelersburg 2023
Burg has a pretty good freshman class... I am sure that a lot of them will start next year as sophomores. When they get some experience under their belt, they will be tough to handle.

Re: Wheelersburg 2023
agree 100% here. I expect the Burg to be right back to battling for a regional title in 2023. I would be shocked if Burg doesnt win the SOC next season. Has it ever happened in last 25 years, that Burg not win the conference two years in a row? I would wager on them. Would be shocked if the didnt improve to at least 8-2 regular season or maybe 9-1.RBH23 wrote: Mon Nov 14, 2022 6:20 pmBack to back 7-3 seasons, and didn’t win the SOC this year. If you read the responses from most area fans they talk about Burg being down this year. Burg fans new better.
As for next year, I’ve heard the team will be very good. Much more dynamic on offense.
