Strong agree. Clay has a really good team about once a decade I’d like to see them then. East… yeahart_vandelay wrote: Fri Dec 30, 2022 11:23 pmI know Webster has had Clay and East on their schedule for years, but it probably time to replace them with other non-conference opponents.*

I attended that River/Morgan game at Marietta College in 1974, but my recollection was 7 overtimes.Jason Vorhees wrote: Sat Dec 31, 2022 8:11 am Longest OT game in OHSAA History is 9 OT’s:

River vs Morgan for the Sectional Championship
River’s Coach was Richard Potts, who has 589 wins, the most in OVAC, MOVC, and PVC history. Richard took Bethel Township to the Final Four in 1957 and may have the only team in OHSAA History to have 5 1,000 point scorers on the same team.
His primary guard on that 1974 team was Lou “Scooter” Tolzda, who has coached at:
River
Beallsville
Monroe Central
Meadowbrook
Unioto Local (girls)
As far as my knowledge goes, he might be the only coach in OHSAA History to take two teams from separate counties and genders to get to the Final Four.
Union Local (2022) and Meadowbrook (2017).
Yesterday I saw the Union Local girls well handle Parkersburg at Marietta College with at least 3 main starters they've had the last 2-3 seasons.

Did we ever get a South Gallia and Huntington final from last night?

Huntington 44 final
Re: Friday 12/30 ... Games/Updates/Finals ...
11-23 from the line and 27 turnovers is the only stats we need to know. If the Tigers correct this trend they will be in games and win a few.

How does Huntington get its first win of the season (fairly convincingly over Amanda) and then turn around and get blasted by South Gallia? Not completely shocked that they were defeated, but the margin is a bit surprising.

Amanda isn't very good, Huntington isn't a very good team and SG is at least sitting around 4-5 or so. I mean it is the 4th game Huntington has lost by 20 plus points so it can't be all that surprising especially with 3 of the 4 teams hovering right around .500.socsportsfan1 wrote: Sun Jan 01, 2023 12:45 pm How does Huntington get its first win of the season (fairly convincingly over Amanda) and then turn around and get blasted by South Gallia?
