SOC II - Mid Season
SOC II - Mid Season
Maybe someone can help update the standings. Here's my observation.
Northwest: Haven't seen them yet but they have a couple of losses and two really good players in Bolin and Lintz.
Minford - Has the P.O.Y. Not deep on the bench. Relies heavily on Montgomery. Can get hot shooting.
Valley - IMO has the most athletic backcourt in the league. Not deep on the bench like Minford.
Burg - Deepest team in the league and most physical. Play by committee and play hard. No consistent scorer.
West - Play hard but are missing the kid who can light it up.
Waverly - Young. Pretty good defensively but struggle on the offensive side of the ball.
South Webster - Best College Prospect in the league. They are missing that other kid who they usually have who can drain three to four threes on a consistent basis. Not very physical.
Eastern - Streaky shooters, coached well
Oak Hill - I haven't seen. Have a couple of wins over Eastern and Waverly.

Re: SOC II - Mid Season
I actually think South Webster is way more physical than in previous years. Collins/Sommer are physical down low and Bender is a super physical guard.
Minford comfortably on pace to win the league. Them @ Valley will be a fun one.

Just forgot about Oak Hill who has beaten Eastern Pike and Waverly thus far in the League. Here is their record if I am not mistaken:
5-7 (2-6)

Valley played a rare wednesday game last night beating West 61-35.
Arnett scored his 1000th point.

Who has Eastern already played twice? I think round two starts tomorrow so curious how that would have happened?

Looks like according to maxpreps they've played Oak Hill twice now and then 2 non-conference games and finish with the rest of the conference.Crab's Brother wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 1:01 pmWho has Eastern already played twice? Northwest is 4-2 with wins over Eastern, Oakhill, West and Waverly. Losses to Minford and Valley. Haven't played Burg or Webster makeup dates are at Burg 2-14 and host Webster 2-17. 8-2 overall.

Re: SOC II - Mid Season
The 12/13 game was cancelled due to illness throughout Eastern's team. They played this past Saturday, 1/7/23. Eastern has 2 non-conference games away this weekend, and the rest of the season is conference. They have 4 home conference games remaining.transplant wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 1:23 pm weird scheduling, looks like they played on 12/2 and then again on 12/13.
