Re: Scores January 28
Marietta. 5 7 10 16 -- 38
Fort Frye 10 9 6 3 -- 28
Marietta was sternly tested in Fort Frye's bid to sweep the series, but Marietta eventually got the advantage as they turned up their defense and started making treys in the last 12 minutes. Fort Frye scored the first points of the 2nd half for a 23-12 lead, then Marietta outscored them 26-5 the rest of the way. I'd love to know the FG and trey percentage for the game on the north goal versus the south goal in this afternoon game -- seems like both teams had severe problems converting shots on the south goal.

south goal: 3/21 M, 3/19 FF = 6/40 (15%)
north goal: 6/15 FF, 9/20 M = 15/35 (43%)
My theory is that the natural light coming in the south windows causes an effect that makes it much harder to shoot accurately at the south goal in afternoon games.
Re: Scores January 28
How often do they play an afternoon game ? Is it usually just on a Saturday ?mhs95_06 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 9:06 pmFrom the Marietta times article:mhs95_06 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 10:39 pm Marietta. 5 7 10 16 -- 38

Re: Scores January 28
Saturday would pretty much be the only day, and I wouldn't think that would be too often. Even rarer for boys games.VetteMan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 9:21 pmHow often do they play an afternoon game ? Re: Scores January 28
Looks like Warren is playing Parkersburg South now instead of Marietta, interesting.

Re: Scores January 28
Instead of having a home game with Warren, Marietta went to Barnesville, made 8 treys in the first qtr, and beat them by 30.
