Re: Awards
I saw that Quentin Williams of Fairfield who guided his team to 14-0 and then lost the best player on the team and continued to win out going to 22-0…..did NOT D4 coach of the year. Would be interested in the details of that.
Had one returning starter I believe this year…his first year.

Re: Awards
First of all I’m pretty sure he didn’t win 8 games without his best player. Second how can a Coach not know a kid isn’t showing up to school! I’m not blaming it all on the coach but something probably shoulda been done sooner! I agree he should have won COY being 22-0 however!

Coaches aren’t parents. Attendance and behavior rest solely on the parents shoulders.

Re: Awards
They won 7 games without best player. From my understanding there's a lot more to the story, that's on going, in regards to the ineligibility thing. As far as him not getting coach of the year, just shows the bias voting. Not a good look for sure on the coaches IMO.Ironman92 wrote: Tue Feb 21, 2023 8:05 pmYeah coach’s fault he’s not at school or eligible academicallyHarambe wrote: Tue Feb 21, 2023 7:13 pm First of all I’m pretty sure he didn’t win 8 games without his best player. That being said doesn't surprise me shac always gets slighted. I would say coach Williams will definitely use it as motivation. Another point 22-0 team has same number of players on district team as a 0-22....... Nuf said!!!!
