South Point matches up better athletically vs Africentric than NA would have

Garaway was able to limit Swain to 10 shot attempts, which I think South Point will need to replicate to have a chance. 3/4 for Africentric combined to shoot 14-20 and the rest of their team was 2-17

SP beat a very good North Adams team, with Branson Copas back next year. Caleb Lovely will also return for the Pointers.

Since 2010, I believe this is the 5th time an OVC school has reached at least the regional final. In 2010, Chesapeake made the Final 4, in 2011 the Panthers lost to Portsmouth in the regional final, in 2017 Fairland advanced to the Final 4, in 2020 Fairland made the regional final but it was cancelled due to Covid, and this year South Point has made the regional final.

3 different schools and 5 appearances by the OVC speaks well of the conference.

Actually 4 schools! Plus, Coal Grove won a couple of districts in that time frame too. The OVC is a very good basketball league
