The struggling Patterson could be the likely candidate to come off the roster, especially after he went 0-for-8 in Sunday's 18-inning loss at San Diego. But the wheels were already in motion to promote Bruce before the weekend.

Scott Hatteberg was DFA'd today. Looks like Patterson lives, though he better be gone when Hopper gets off the DL.

Last time I checked the Reds are behind the Pirates in the standings.Maybe the Reds should be happy to beat anyone....

THey really need the energy and drive these young guys are bringing to the team. If they want to contend they need to turn it around in June. :-D

The Reds in the past few years have started out hot and then slowed down in the second half of the season. Hopefully this year they do the opposite. They are hitting the ball right now like its a beach ball. Come on Reds sweep the Pirates.
