(Hand timed avg. on 3 stop watches)

1. 4.45- 2025 WR/DB Shaun Terry
2. 4.50- 2024 WR Aris Pittman
3. 4.56- 2025 WR/DB Josh Johnson
4. 4.56- 2025 WR/SB Ian Ginger
5. 4.57- 2024 LB/RB Gavin Hart

This TEAM can RUN! 💨
In the videos last year you could see the kid take almost a full step before the stopwatch started and stopped about a half step early.

No one for Ironton runs a 4.5. No one

White,

You claim these numbers not to be accurate. Ironton posted Reid Carrico ran 4.5 and he then went to a National combine and ran that time. It’s also widely documented that he has the best combination of size, speed and strength at Ohio State. I’ve also slowed down the footage of your claim they are half a second late and I don’t see it. That’s the difference in hand and laser times is human element. Staff did it just like anyone else that times kids. When hand moves the clock starts.

How dare you question anything Ironton football related.

Didn’t you know that Pendleton’s reflexes are so good that his ability to time the 40 is better than any laser system? In fact, they use him at the NFL combine; he even runs along side of the athletes that he is timing since Pendleton can run a 3 sec/40 (backwards) and maintain that speed for an entire week without rest.

RBH,

You won’t have to wait much longer to see it. It’s coming whether you like it or not. Wonder if The Wheelersburg faithful will be leaving at half like the last time they played at Tank Stadium. 🤔

Frankly, I don’t trust any high school forty times; Ironton, Burg, etc doesn’t matter the school. And as the article I attached shows, all high school forty times should be taken with a grain of salt.

I am trying to figure out why burg fans insist on mentioning themselves in the same breath with Ironton. Burg has only made it out of their region 4 times in last 15 years. Pendletons Tigers have won the region more times than burg in his short tenure. 😂

That's very impressive if coach pendleton can run backwards that fast and all those players can run 40s in the 4s. What will impress me is when they win in week 15 in canton

Ironton was the biggest team last year in D5, this year they have dropped. Ironton is not even in the the top 10 with CB numbers in D5. Burg is at 19 but other teams have 30+. Harvest prep has a CB number of 63

Transfers count as zero towards the CB if they move into the school district.

Example:
- A kid lives in Green school district but starts at Burg in kindergarten…. In high school, he would count as 1 to CB.
- A kid moves into Burg school district for his senior year counts as zero to CB.

That’s going to be a heck of an Offense, the line will be more experienced and the skilled guys are going to be something else.
Might be a local 6’5 305lb lineman transfer that will be a JR added to that roster! Rumor is he picked up open a enrollment form yesterday. Open enrollment ends Friday I believe
Aye YO!!!! ;)

It’s all relative.A 4.5 guy that really runs 4.6 will probably out run a 4.6 hand timed guy.

Ironton CB number is 20...burg is 19. Twist it all you want. That's not much of a difference.

“Twist it all you want”, I’m simply explaining how the CB is calculated. How is that twisting it?

Or you just want to point at the number with disregard on what that number actually means? Don’t like me pointing out that a number of Ironton’s top transfers don’t even show up in the CB number?

Do you actually know Irontons CB breakdown on which players lives in or out of District? Which players on the team count toward their CB number and who doesn’t, or, are you just guessing? Just curious.

I can name the transfers from last year’s team that moved into the district and did not count against the CB: Felder, Keyes, and Perkins are the big three. All counted as zero against this year’s CB.

That said, my point of this is that the CB number doesn’t really tell you who is “a home grown kid” and who is not. I’ll use Burg as an a example so as not to offend any Ironton folk:

- Kid #1: goes to Burg (and plays football) for his senior year. Prior years were spent at another local school.

- Kid #2: went to Burg from k-12. Father went to Burg k-12. Uncles and aunts went to Burg. Grandfather and great uncles went to Burg. Football stadium named after said grandfather.

So let’s consider the CB impact of these two. Kid 1 had a zero impact because his mom moved into Burg district for his senior year. Kid 2 had a one impact to CB despite having a Wheelersburg address due to his house being in a neighboring school district.

Now the logic of many on this site is that kid 1 is a true Burg kid while kid 2 is not. That’s obviously silly, but that is the claim being made by many.

So to my point about CB, context matters. The number itself can be deceiving. Sure, OHSAA just looks at the raw number, but that number doesn’t necessarily tell you if a school recruits, benefits from significant transfers, etc. And we definitely cannot distinguish home grown or transfers simply by looking at this number.

Ironton and Wheelersburg have virtually the same enrollment as well. 177 and 176. Sounds like another excuse from the Wheelersburg base. Maybe Wheelersburg is getting transfers to they just aren’t as publicized cause they are no longer the big dog in the neighborhood.

Good grief. I try to explain something using Wheelersburg as an example not to offend the Ironton crowd, and yet someone from Ironton still finds offense.

Don’t have to be defensive. Was not attacking Ironton, just showing the false assumptions that can be made by just looking at CB number with no context. Did not mean any harm or to hurt anyone’s delicate feelings from Ironton.
