That was not a surprise if you see a lot of baseball. Circleville makes sure they get out and play a competitive schedule and are always ready come tournament time. plus a lot of seniors. Sheridan is usually never as good as their record.GeneralCarpenter wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 10:32 amWould’ve been better than my picks again. Did not see Circleville beating Sheridan by 7

I know Circleville is a good team. But I didn’t see them winning by that much, especially against Sheridans top 2 arms. I knew they could pitch and field well but didn’t know they could hit like that. Circleville always seems to turn up in the tournament and that has to do with their schedule and a great coachjose wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 10:48 amThat was not a surprise if you see a lot of baseball. Lotz had success against Jackson twice but both games were close, do you think they go with him for a third time or go to Lemaster? Courthouse has 2 aces and that’s what you need in the tourney

Hard to pitch 3 times against a team (quality team) no matter how good of a pitcher you are.GeneralCarpenter wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 11:32 am Lotz had success against Jackson twice but both games were close, do you think they go with him for a third time or go to Lemaster? Yeah that’s my thought as well. They have the luxury of having another number 1jose wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 2:28 pmHard to pitch 3 times against a team (quality team) no matter how good of a pitcher you are.GeneralCarpenter wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 11:32 am Lotz had success against Jackson twice but both games were close, do you think they go with him for a third time or go to Lemaster? I watched Circleville early in the year and was very impressed. Plus their lefty Logan Smith was dominant in that game as well. I thought they were well coached and know they have plenty of seniors. I think a courthouse/unioto finals is inevitable though.GeneralCarpenter wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2023 11:20 amI know Circleville is a good team. I think Moats is ahead of Debord in the rotation. Isn’t the Smith kid who had a season-ending injury?GeneralCarpenter wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 8:23 pm Is Debord Circleville’s ace? Or is it the Smith kid

Moats was dealing with an arm injury early and hasn’t thrown a ton of innings and it gives them their best defense to have him in the field, so I’d say it’ll be Smith or DeBord.formerfcfan wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 8:29 pmI think Moats is ahead of Debord in the rotation. Wickline (formerly Cox) is the long lefty who missed the season. Smith has done a nice job filling in that role for them.

Props to Circleville for making a run even without two important pitchers. Great coaching over theredanicalifornia wrote: ↑Sat May 20, 2023 12:25 amMoats was dealing with an arm injury early and hasn’t thrown a ton of innings and it gives them their best defense to have him in the field, so I’d say it’ll be Smith or DeBord.formerfcfan wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 8:29 pmI think Moats is ahead of Debord in the rotation. 1-0 with a walk-off in the bottom of the 8th. Run scores from 3rd with the bases loaded on a bunt. Was it a suicide or safety squeeze?
