Hopefully this will all be put to rest by the results of the game in week one. Winner should have bragging rights until the playoffs anyway. Then we’ll see if either team makes it “outta da region.”

Last year when Ironton goose egged burg in their own building your seops burg fanbase said they lost because the regular season was not important and they are a "playoff team." - Funniest part about that is,Chief Kdogg wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 12:47 pm Hopefully this will all be put to rest by the results of the game in week one. 1. How are ya a playoff team when you have only made it beyond your region 3 times in almost 2 decades?
2. They proceeded to get beat by Jackson, then fold against West and let them have their conference
3. Then after Harvest Prep bounced em out of the region - AGAIN they had to sit home on their couches AGAIN and watch Ironton handle West & Prep.
The burg fanbase is delusional. and the actual team is MID. PSSSST that means MEDIOCRE.

Only making it out of your region 3 times in almost 2 decades is a good indication of what to expect out of burg football on average.art_vandelay wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 9:25 pm1989?????!!BTWNTHE__ wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 9:19 pmMan ya like around 5 yrs away from only making outcha region 3× in two decades. lol. I have been around the program without being around the area for a very long time. Bug fans talk a lot about Ironton but never improve upon their own program and their results are clear evidence. Can't get out of the region. Only around 3 times in approaching 2 decades has burg won the region. And over the last few years have lost grip on being able to win their own conference.irontonwizard wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 9:17 pmI’m a Ironton fan, but you know your stuff about the Tigers. Meanwhile Irontons program keeps building and growing and evolving and EARNING chances to play for state titles win or lose. Burg cant even create the opportunity because they can't field, develop and coach a team good enough to win the region.
Facts are facts and 2017 or 89 or 79 cant change what is presently FACT.
Its 2023 and burg is a "rest of them" team in their region. - as in their is Ironton/Prep - then the rest of em.
Rinse/Repeat for burg again. = only 3 times in almost 2 decades isnt a coincidence. Its a trend. Burg will make their seops fan base look like clowns yet again. Lol

No state title in 33 years! That explains why you are so proud of just winning the region since that’s the best Ironton has been able to do in 33 long years!!!

I guess mediocrity means a state title in 2017. Boy, what does one in 1989 put you at? #noexcuses

Re: Wheelersburg 2023
If they would've played a MAC team or Kirtland, the burg wouldn't have won in '17. That title should have an asterisk beside it. VERY lucky...
