We are just reminding him that regional titles are not the end all, and if he’s determined to measure a team/program/season by titles, then state titles is the true measure.

Notice I said “if” a successful season is determined by titles…
Never did I say “only a state championship defines a successful season”. You made that up. Nice try.

Pendletons teams have been outta the region more times in the last 5 years than burgs HC has his entire career. lmaothirtyonetrap wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 12:09 pm

Present day they don't pose any threat unless its a threat to wear out a couch cushion when the postseason progresses beyond their region.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 7:20 am
You have no way of knowing that. Middletown Madison and Pemberville Eastwood weren't mediocre teams. They hit hard and had a tough offense. I would have put my money on Burg against a MAC team or Kirtland that year.

Only making it beyond ya region like 3 times in almost two decades but incessantly comparing yaselves to programs who consistently do more and have done more than what you have managed in almost 2 decades in 5 years is unbearable too. But burg is seo so I guess we have to suffer the delusion.

I hope Burg wins the region soon so that dude will quit macking on them. He’s got the Burgers all spun up over that three times in two decades thing.
Re: Wheelersburg 2023
Actually he doesn’t. I have no idea how many regional titles Burg has won in football, basketball, baseball, or softball. So him bringing it up doesn’t mean anything to me.Chief Kdogg wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 8:06 pm I hope Burg wins the region soon so that dude will quit macking on them. I just like to use it as an opportunity to remind him that Ironton has not won a state title in football since 1989 because I do know that is killing them, especially since Burg won one in 2017.
All that Ironton talent over the past 30+ years, and no state title to show for it. “Ironton… doing less with more since 1989”.

Re: Wheelersburg 2023
I got no problem act the chirping abt making it out the region and nothing since ‘89 going the other way but let’s call a spade a spade here, no one on here cares abt anything but football, basketball to a degree but not nearly anything like football. Throwing in softball and baseball no one cares but your community

Re: Wheelersburg 2023
Getting back on topic for the Burg 2023, I think Burg has a chance to be really good. I can see Burg improving every week with the young sophomore QB gaining experience and reps. The OL will be Arguably the best in southern Ohio and returning a RB Warren that is capable of having a huge year. IMO week 1 will be a slug fest and the Tigers better not overlook the pirates.
Re: Wheelersburg 2023
Good to see a post about 2023 Pirates. Warren is a heck of an athlete. I wasn’t sure how many starters Burg lost from last year on offensive line?Bfan99 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 1:25 am Getting back on topic for the Burg 2023, I think Burg has a chance to be really good.
