Are you saying we didn’t get that many transfers this year at Ironton? I’m confused.

Probably not. Didn't the three staff members that ran a recruiting service for HS kids leave and go to a school in Kentucky?
Re: Wheelersburg 2023
And the actual burg program has only managed to make it outta their own region 3 times in almost 2 decades lol

Nope they bought a building in Kentucky to run the recruiting business from is what I heard. They still coach at Ironton and do as good as job as Pendleton does getting these kids looked at from what I have heard.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2023 5:05 pmirontonwizard wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 10:27 pmAre you saying we didn’t get that many transfers this year at Ironton? Re: Wheelersburg 2023
I heard theres gonna be a special standing room only section behind the burg bench yelling "only 3 in 2" all night long.
Re: Wheelersburg 2023
Are you back? Thought you would still be searching for the 1989 VHS tape of Ironton’s last state title.

What’s the 1989 joke ?RBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 6:42 amAre you back? Thought you would still be searching for the 1989 VHS tape of Ironton’s last state title.

I was at that 89 state game. Incidentally I was wearing the very same coaching shorts then that I have on today. Brings back memories for sure.

Burg fans like to make fun of Ironton not winning a title since 1989.

Re: Wheelersburg 2023
I wish The Burg a great season of productivity & Healthy players all season.
The 89 reference is really tired.
It DEFINITELY takes what i wished the BURG in the first sentence, some luck, & even a little shuffle from CB, resulting in teams moving IN OR OUT of the division, for SEO teams to compete & Hope for a “W” in a title game -v- NEO &/or MAC schools every year….
TRUTH!
Good Luck BURG!

Yup and lil baby burg should know this because they have only managed to make it out of the region 3 times in going on two decades. Matter fact Ironton has made it out the region more in just the last 5 seasons than burg has in almost 2 decades.Tjhtygeverve wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 2:58 pm I wish The Burg a great season of productivity & Healthy players all season.

Delusional about 1989 or that the game was recorded on VHS?BTWNTHE__ wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 4:07 pmEven though lil burg has only made it past their own region 3 times in almost 2 decades.tigercat74 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 1:27 pmBurg fans like to make fun of Ironton not winning a title since 1989.

I’m certain Ironton won the state in ‘89, and fairly confident that you can find a recording of that game on a VHS tape.

Same to Ironton and their players! Should be exciting.Tjhtygeverve wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 2:58 pm I wish The Burg a great season of productivity & Healthy players all season.

As for your comment on “1989”, unfortunately I have to remind some of the Ironton kool-aid drinkers and trash talkers on this site that although Ironton has a good program, they are not the gods of high school football. There’s a small school about 20 miles away that has been known to win a game or two. Even lifted a couple state title trophies in the air.
