2023 Ironton Tigers

Was told they have a couple young 6’5 tackles who are pushing the 290-300lb mark that are good athletes as well.

I heard the same thing.

I heard one kid (Center/Tackle) has came in will be a Junior, officially measures at 6'4 3/4" and 318 lbs.

Haven’t heard about any linemen transfers. I wonder how good the oline and entire defensive unit will be after losing the winningest class in school history. Alt of them started or played on defense since they were sophomores. Going to be interesting?

Where is said transfer from? And if he’s a good linemen both ways that’s huge for Ironton. That’s where they’ve struggle under Pendleton on the deep runs in the post season. They had no issue churning out collegiate prospects at the skill positions and LB nothing on the either side of the line

agreed. And all of the Big playoff losses the line seems to have been what is cost then. They seem to always get dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball

Patterson has a lot of offers and will be a beast this year. Gossett missed the playoffs last year due to injury and is ready to go, he has an offer from UK I believe. The big guy coming in has played Center since he’s been playing football, don’t know if he plays both ways though, been a two year starter at his former school and will be a Junior. I believe the line will be much improved with what we have returning. The running game will be better overall IMO.

July 21st: OVC Conference 7 on 7

July 22nd: Eastern Kentucky University 7 on 7

July 24th-28th: Fall Camp

Where is the OVC 7 on 7 being played and what time?

I saw on MaxPreps.com they have an updated one
with several names i do not recognize, & frosh
included.

Thats a good size team.

I’m not sure when the official roster will be released, I’m sure it’ll be a little while yet.

I figured too early still. I had looked on there about a month ago & it still had last years roster.
It did change & there are quite a few names on there, im guessing are new kids trying to get a tiger stripe.

Glad to see Tony Bell on there. Hes a friend of mines Grandchild & hes a shifty & fast runner.
He almost broke one last year when the ones took a break after blowing up one of the OVC games.

I agree, when it’s all said and done he may very well be the best QB to ever come out of Ironton

He’s got a looooooooooooooooong way to go to even be in Carpenter’s stratosphere. I’m not saying it isn’t possible, but it isn’t probable. He looked good as a WR today at the 7 on 7.
