2023 Cleveland Browns

Post by GalliaGrad78 »

Well, here we are again, another Browns offseason. Filled with high hopes that are tempered by the failures of the last several years.
I think that Browns are playoff talented, but can they put it together on the field? If Watson plays to potential, defense is improved, should contend for the playoffs. Tough schedule to start the season, all three division opponents in the first four games. If Browns can win two of these, should be a good season. If not, gonna be an uphill climb.
Every team is 0-0 at this point, so optimism is high.

Is I agree that they look very talented this year. But we're still having the same ownership. The same clueless emotionless coach who stands there and Looks like he is reading a menu from his favorite restaurant. And relies on analytics to make all the in game decisions I would be surprised to see more than seven or eight wins at the most

Watson looked good in his one series, if Chubb is in game they score on that drive.
DTR very good again, moving up the depth chart.

Well nice start for the Browns. Browns were ready to play and responded for the most part. As mentioned on the tube- Browns now have to be able to play consistently as they played Sunday. If the go to Pittsburgh and struggle then we may have the same ole Browns.

Big test for the Browns tonight against the Steelers.
Can the Browns defense continue to play with the same success that they had against Cincy?
Can the Steelers contain Chubb?
Can Browns rookie RT slow down Watt?
Can Browns LT slow down Highsmith?
Will Watson and receivers have success without Cooper?
Many questions about both teams could be answered tonight.

Brown's are pretty stout on D but with Watson behind center and Stankowski as General they are still heartbreakers...Not going anywhere with those two....imo

I don't root for the Browns by any means but what an absolute horrible blow to the team and really the whole NFL to lose Nick Chubb for the season.. dude is an absolute monster. Really hope for a successful recovery and hopes to see him back sometime next season.

Can the Browns defense continue to play with the same success that they had against Cincy? Yes, except for one busted coverage. Pickens TD
Can the Steelers contain Chubb? No, not while he was on the field.
Can Browns rookie RT slow down Watt? Not really, Watt had good game.
Can Browns LT slow down Highsmith? Not really, Highsmith with a good game.
Will Watson and receivers have success without Cooper? Cooper played, only receiver with any success. Not enough.
Many questions about both teams could be answered tonight. Somewhat. Both teams have issues with offense. Turnovers kill Browns.

On to the Titans.

Watson don’t look like much of an upgrade over Mayfield and definitely not worth giving up the farm for. He will be exposed without Chubb. The fill in for Chubb looked pretty decent. I hope Chubb can make a comeback. This defense is championship caliber but they will have to carry the offense now that Chubb is gone. Let’s hope they have strong backs.😳

Watson not earned his money, YET. I choose to reserve judgement on him until a little later in the season.

Defense has been stellar in first two games. Will need another good effort against Titans, Henry, Tannehill playing better. Burks and Hopkins will be a tough cover.
Watson MUST be better.
