Why does Belpre play any local teams that may beat them, why does basketball play Warren or FF or Parkersburg. First you play the game to play the game, you can’t worry about how bad it could be or will be. I’m sure the superior teams will take advantage of this young Belpre team. Second it’s about making money from the tickets and concessions. But don’t worry, I heard the radio call last night and from what the announcer said all the Belpre kids should all transfer to Warren.
All I have heard from Belpre fans the last 30 years was how bad a new hire at coach is goin to be and what happened to the good ole days. The good ole days are gone and we need to support those kids willing to wear that Belpre uniform in whatever athletic event they want to play. FF has a winning tradition that coaches and supporters have worked hard to achieve, every team that plays against them can learn from their success.

You can learn a ton from playing a team that runs the same scheme as you . Fort Frye runs wing T very well. Also I agree this game scheduled for money. Caldwell has kept Fort on the schedule bc besides Shenandoah it’s the biggest gate.

Cadets ran for 371 vs the bigger Marietta. I think they will have a nice rushing attack this year.

I will root for these Belpre kids in every game they play this season because of what they have had to deal with the past couple seasons, and they still continue to fight. I look at Fort Frye and how arrogant their fans have been the past few seasons (deservingly so with all the success they have had) but it can serve as a reminder and a beacon of hope for Belpre. It doesn't seem like that long ago FF was going 2-8 and getting pushed around by the likes of Warren. All it takes is one group of kids to turn it around. While it may not be this group, the will to fight, and effort put forth now, can set an example for teams in the future. Good luck Eagles
