Jackson played Ironton well, they tired in the second half. If Burg, can limit Jackson's run game, they could come out of there with a win. I think they are getting better on the offensive side of the ball.

Wheelersburg lost to Ironton 20-17. How does losing to a team by 3 points look worse than losing by 21 points? Wheelersburg has definitely not played well at all but they still only lost by 3. Jackson played pretty well and lost by 21.
One caveat. Irontons own errors vs burg kept that game from busting open imo. I still think Burg edges Jackson here.
Burg's three interceptions, two being in the red zone, and remove those two and burg may win. Burg had plenty of their own errors. Not too mention a sophomore starting on the road.
Yes thats a fair point

Burg has to protect the ball better. Too many mistakes in the first two games.

What you stated above may be true, but Burg has been a dumpster fire in too many areas. They just out gained McNich 410 yards to 150, yet barely won the game! Until Burg cleans up their act, most decent teams could be a problem.

Plus, Jackson isn’t as bad as the Ironton score. They needed to play a clean game to have a chance, but that didn’t happen, and Ironton made them pay.

Mainly speaking on the improvement of Ironton from Week 1 to Week 2.

They seemed to make the bigger improvement, and into that Jackson ran into a better Ironton team.

Comparing THIS weeks Jackson vs THIS weeks Burg I think Jackson is the better team.

Jackson knows what they want to do with the ball Wheelersburg is still trying to fig it out.

I think Jackson takes this game 21-10

I see the RB from Jackson having a huge game.

That's because Burg had a muffed punt inside red zone and a over the head snap that McNich got at the 1. They had one sustained drive. Special teams has to get better, it's how good teams get beat by lower teams.

You’re right About special teams. A typical Burg strength is not.

Also toss in the play calling and turnovers. I know only one offensive turnover against McNich, but it almost cost them the game.

Gotta give a slight edge to Jackson at home…their soph. QB looked more comfortable against ironton as well…couple drops really hurt them. The Pirates can definitely pull it off though and as said earlier nothing, except a blowout either way, would really surprise me.

I think Wheelersburg is a bit better and will win if they play a clean game. However, they have played two extremely sloppy games, so who knows.

Almost feel like the playcalling is counterproductive to the potential for burg right now and its unfortunate.

Ironton looked better against Jackson because Ironton passing game was better and irontons qb didn't have the time to throw those type of passes against Burg reason being was that Burgs defense was putting pressure on Irontons qb all night

To me this game is Burgs if they can put together a clean game in all aspects of the game I think Burg wins but ya never know in high school football and Jackson will definitely be tough to beat. Go Burg

Watched Jackson's game last week, they were able to move the ball from what I seen, but had a couple bad mistakes that took their momentum away. This game will be closer but give me Burg.
