October 6, 2023 Fairland 43 - 27 Portsmouth
Re: Fairland v/s Portsmouth
As far as I know Portsmouth is still extremely 1 dimensional and I just don't think that style is going to work against Fairland as that's right up there alley. Look for Fairland to take this one by 3-4 scores especially playing at home.

I'm afraid that the Dragons will be a little to much for the Trojans this year.

Fairland Dragons emerge successfully victorious against the Portsmouth Trojans on the Green Dragons Night and Fairland’s Homecoming Football Game at the Jim Mayo Concrete Palace most certainly.

Would love to see the Trojans go into Proctorville and beat the Dragons, I’m just not sure they have the offense to score the points or the defense to stop Fairland. Maybe Fairland gets caught overlooking the Trojans? I feel that’s what happened a bit last year. Fairland overlooked Portsmouth and got thumped 34-0 or something like that, but I believe it was with a backup QB. I’ll be making my 2nd ever trip this Friday to Fairland, coming home with a win would be awesome, but I just don’t see it. Would be a major upset, big computer points for the Trojans and basically lock them into the playoffs, there’s a lot to play for. Portsmouth will need to limit the penalties, be a little less predictable on offense, and play really good pass defense to win this game, tall task. Good luck men of Troy!

Looks like the weather may have heard you , good chance of rain coming our way . I still see the Dragons coming out on top in a close one , a lot closer than people thinkportsmouth_98 wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 7:02 am Maybe we can get some rain , it might be in our favor for once.

My least favorite field in the OVC, Gallia is right up there to.
Hopefully I can see an upset Friday night but it will definitely be tough , this game could very well decide our play off hopes.

All thier sports field are trash. Baseball, softball, and football. Ask any kid in the OVC what field they don't want to play on and it's a toss up between Fairland and Gallia. At least Gallia put some money into a new Baseball and Softball field.Mc1196 wrote: Wed Oct 04, 2023 4:45 pmbiggdowgg wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:21 am My least favorite field in the OVC, Gallia is right up there to.

It's obvious you haven't walked on the field or you know absolutely nothing about football fields Fairland has the nicest grass field you will ever see now we do apologize cause your little princess don't get to play on turf which is really dangerous but let us know what you think of it Friday night about 9:30

You’re right I didn’t walk on it, I ran on it, in a foot of mud. It’s the worst field I’ve ever had to play on, worse than GA’s. The last time I was there as a fan the speakers were busted, and the away stands were filthy, full of leaves, dirt and cobwebs. It sits right beside a trailer park, that place is an absolute dump.

Should consider adding some visitors bleachers. 4 rows between the 30's is not enough.
